Some schizophrenic patients do fight it. They describe it as a horrible battle, like they have to fight their own mind, knowing the hallucinations aren't real, but still experiencing them. I've seen this in videos on KZbin where patients share what it is like to battle their mental conditions. Of course, the ones who end up on channels like due to voices in their head have apparently lost the battle or were too delusional to realise what is going on. (I'm not a doctor, just basing my opinion on various interesting things over the years.)

My hometown a lawyer had his whole house shot up with automatic weapons killing his mother and daughter. Than they entered the house shot him until he was unrecognizable and found his wife and tortured her than shot her in the spine paralyzing her before continuing to go kill the family pets and their three other children. 1 of the kids was 9 months old. It was 1 guy who did it. He was never caught. It was a hit from the hells angels and he was a lawyer so could've been anything. It happened in 1989 in bc Canada. @@foolish3art

@vladmakarov5597 You do it then. The next time something happens remotely near you, run toward whatever the hell is going down with nothing but what you carry daily. Risk being shot in the face or bleeding out on the ground just to try and make a better future. That's what these officers did, and you don't get the right to talk shit until you've done that. That's not even to mention the fact that comparatively, an average cop sees an average of 8-14 major life incidents IF they do the bare minimum 20 year career. I don't know this statistic, but I'm guessing post 1990 or even post 2002 major life event stat for military is maybe 3 at best (literally 1 above the average range of 1-2.) And another note, your chance of being shot during military service in a normal military job (not the safe ones like IT, I mean infantry) is most likely lower than policing. Very few servicemen who have deployed actually saw combat situations, maybe 4-5% or less (And this is referring to GWoT).

Yeah that's something that sets EWU apart from the others. I've done some captioning where the software will transcribe the audio and auto-create the captions, but it's never 100% correct, there's always 5% that you need to fix. It's pretty time-consuming to go through all the subtitles making sure the words, spelling, and timing is correct.

@@AngelWest58 I literally hemorrhaged blood so bad while I was working at the hospital that my hemoglobin was low enough that they said I was lucky that I didn't go into shock, while I was at that level of blood loss I was still just trying to do vitals. I legitimately didn't stop until the girl I was training told me my lips were blue and got the charge nurse involved..... Then everyone kind of insisted I went to the ER and they gave me multiple bags of blood and iron and told me I was severely anemic and that they were really surprised that with my iron and hemoglobin that low that I wasn't on the ground in shock unconscious. This cop literally was like "oh I got a injury that's really probably not life-threatening? Let me just sit this one out boys" Oh and my iron was so low that I've had at least eight bags of iron and I'm still on iron tablets. But yeah I was at the point where I asked if I could go to the bathroom and the doctors legitimate reaction was.... Can you walk? He said with quite a bit of shock. I stood up and the two nurses in the room leaned forward with their arms out as if I was about to slam into the floor. I just walked to the bathroom used it and walked right back. They went to grab me to help me back up in the bed and I just climbed up in myself and all of them were standing there just in shock. The human body isn't nearly as fragile as people think it is so it leads to things like this cop flipping his lid cuz he got shot in the hand...... I had a fractured ankle and I didn't get treatment for it and within 3 weeks it was fine. That cop could have stayed and helped, tbh I don't know why he didn't just run over the shooter..... Like the shooter had already injured several people and that was confirmed when he got shot, I think that justifies vehicular manslaughter.

One of my favorite KZbin channels covers the mass shooting that happened in Farmington. I live in Aztec, where the school shooter attacked in 2017, then last year, in 2023, in the city next to me, this happened. Farmington has people from all (a good amount) neighboring cities and reservations, including people from Colorado who shop here. This was absolutely one of the scariest events to happen in our town in recent years, he was graduating and he chose to change his life forever. One of the victims was my mother's co-worker's mother. He was targeting females. There were a lot of rumors and conversations on the local community crime watch Facebook pages. It was truly a horrific day. He had an AR-15-style rifle, 22 caliber pistols, and 9 mm pistols. He had access to more than 1,400 rounds of ammunition. They blamed mental health issues. Thank you for covering it Ewu. One of the only channels I search every other day to see any new uploads. I believe he was hearing voices that were accusing him of doing things to his sister and he knew he didn't. Instead of figuring out his mental health, he wanted to be ended by the police, but he never needed to take anyone with him. He will forever be known in history as a cowardly monster nothing more.

The main factors for violent crimes being committed are economic conditions, cultural factors, family conditions, and climate- even negative social environments, substance abuse, low self-esteem, and low self-control are all the top contributing factors to crimes being perpetrated. Mental illness is almost always an underlying factor is a false statement, that shouldn't be said. That false narrative you're speaking just continues to hurt people who have mental illnesses. What you're saying DOESN'T help the people who do have mental illnesses. “3% of violent crimes in a sample of 1,151 newly incarcerated criminal offenders were attributed to people with major mental disorders. In addition, 7% were attributed to offenders with primary substance abuse disorders.” So maybe reevaluate the facts you have on crime being committed, mental illness, and substance abuse. SRoberts, The problem is that the National Rifle Association pays a TON of money to whomever will support them in our government. Therefore, the folks in power have good reason to block any gun-control measures that could make a REAL change in our society. The average US citizen doesn’t have as much of a say in this as most other countries seem to think we do. No matter how we vote, the ones in power who deal in corruption will do what they will.

The "no child left behind" policy, ensures that kids who fail are pushed to the next grade anyway. Most teachers hate the policy because it means kids who struggle to learn never get help, they just get shoved along in the system. Unfortunately, the government doesn't want to spend money actually helping the struggling kids, so they'd rather pretend the problem doesn't exist than hold them back until they learn the material.
