You guys seemed pretty annoyed that the kids didn't immediately throw themselves at the villains hurting aizawa. This is their first experience with REAL dangerous people. They are untrained and unprepared. Imagine for a second this is the real world. Some psychos with machine guns are hurting a cop and three inexperienced 15 year olds are off to the side with some pistols in their hands. I definitely wouldn't want them to jump right in to die.

I don't know if it's not clarified in the dub, but Recovery Girl's quirk is not necessarily equatable to Senzu Beans in DBZ. Her quirk is recovery, not healing. She only speeds up the bodies natural recovery process. She also told Deku that if there is too much damage, then trying to recover it all in one go will throw them into shock and kill them.

Also, they're like 14, they're terrified. I know it's frustrating, but things get better after season 1. No one knows that All Mights power is transferable, let alone that transferring quirks is even a THING, so just because Deku's quirk is similar, their's not nearly enough evidence for anyone to connect the dots(but yeah, yelling All Might's attacks is umm... dumb lol. I don’t know why, I’m The Normies constantly shouting “Do Something” really bothered me. Like I get why they were doing that, Aizawa was getting beat up and they obviously really like him so they really don’t want them to die and want someone to save him, but _still_ The main reason why Deku, Asui, and Mineta are just standing there is because they are frozen with fear, even Deku who previously ran to save Bakugo is utterly petrified *because* if this creature could take out a Pro Hero like Aizawa then what hope did they have? Even if they have the opinion to run, in reality that’s harder then it looks. Mineta is the same age as the other classmates (15). He has dwarfism, so he's smaller than everyone else. Edit: Remember how All Might reached his limit in episode 2 and forced himself to return to hero form to save Deku and Kacchan from the sludge villain? He can go beyond his limit, but he permanently weakens himself in exchange, reducing the amount of time he can safely spend in hero form. That's one of the many things My Hero Academia does very well: consequences for pushing yourself too hard.

The air is pushed out of the body when you scream, the same happens with Saiyans, except their "ki" is also pushed out with the air, thus the more they scream the more power is exerted and they transform, and their power gets multiplied. (Don't worry they have limits as well, it's not like Goku screaming for 10 hours straight will make him as strong as a deity, oh wait he already is and also quite surpassed a few others ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)) 2) Transformations in DBZ are very painful except for the new ones because they have perfect energy control. When they transform the muscles and the power exerted increases at a rapid speed like Super Saiyan makes Goku 50x stronger than his base form, so yeah, it is quite painful. 3) Well it is a no shit moment here but they also do it because it is an animation style.

Yeah, the thing that makes it ok is that no one accepts his bullshit. Honestly ive seen far worse behavior just accepted in real life. The kind of stuff the Me too movement started thanks to. When dealing with Mineta its good to know that the line is being crossed. The outrage at his crossings of it are good. The question of how seriously he will be hit by said outrage is a matter the the future however. Can you imagine an MHA "Me too" movement or something along those lines hitting him later? I mean if he were to go too far or simply not change you could definitely see him getting a talking to. One that involves the word "expelled". I don't think anyone hated Mineta right away, but so far, being a creepy pervert who makes the girls uncomfortable is his only character trait. So for most people, it gets old very quickly. I know it's not specific to mha, it's a general anime thing, but the girls are all fifteen so when most of the comedy revolves around them being uncomfortable it's like ... yeah. I know it's fiction, and some people aren't bothered by it and it's fine! Personally, I wouldn't say I hate him, but he is just irritating. But yeah, this is just how I see it and how I feel! Glad you guys are watching My Hero Academia. It’s a good, low stakes superhero anime. While some of the moments may be cliche, I always found that the emotional moments in MHA really resonated with me more than a lot of other anime I’ve watched. Mineta is comedy relief, at first I found him annoying but when I remembered back to my high school days, I came to an understanding of his crazy teenage hormones (though he does certainly take it too far sometimes). Remember this anime is a story of kids growing up and becoming heroes, there will be some dull moments, cliche love stories, and decision making that’s questionable. They’re growing, and discovering what type of person they truly are. It may take a while for them to shine like the heroes we want them to be.

Is it possible for them to watch some season 2 episodes without knowing the episode titles in advance? Some anime episode titles can contain some spoilers. There is one episode where the title was only shown at the very end of the episode and I want them to watch that episode without knowing its title in advance.

First of all, these students are TEENS and this is most of their first times (except Midorya and bakugou really) fighting REAL, DANGEROUS people. They haven't gotten so much as little to no training on fighting, and you're encouraging suicide by saying "Hey, your pro hero teacher just got pulvarized and is dying due to a powerful genetically made monster on par with all mights strength! one thing to take into account for this show is, these are all still kids. pretty much everyone in Class 1-A is around their early teens, and came to the school to become heroes. now students that were accepted by recommendation (like Todoroki & Yayorozu) are more prepared for this way of life because they were built up for it. but everyone else (at this point in the series) hasn't been really prepared for encounters with other villains, so expecting them to do certain things like constantly moving around or helping Aizawa right away is like expecting a freshman in an auto-mechanic college to fix a car with numerous problems beyond their knowledge as soon as possible. maybe you guys can see what they should do, but they don't really know what to do & how to do it yet without making the problem worse. if they all constantly knew what to do and how to do it right, what would be the point of attending U.A. instead of simply becoming heroes?

Too many people make this mistake, everything is happening at the same time, but we are watching it play out one group at a time, don't think that so much time has passed and iida has done nothing, by that way of thinking 13 has been trying to suck up the warp villain longer with no success, we are shown one group then we move on to the next and come back right where we left the first group, no time has passed because again all this is happening at the same time.

J -light I don’t have a _huge_ issue with him, but I think Sero puts it best later on when he says that Mineta is a lot less endearing when we find out he’s smart. He knows exactly what he’s doing when he feigns innocence trying to grope the girls and acts pervy. Therefore he loses any sort of childish innocence to him and becomes more creepy than endearing. Still funny to watch him though.
