i believe that stain is probably one of the few villains with a quirk that does not directly counter all might that could actually kill all might based on how insanely intimidating and insane he is in combat, and the fact that his quirk is so easy to activate with his fighting style so they made all might be the one hero stain would never kill hes a polar oposite to the regular villain, even to shigaraki, with how he works, and that makes him hard to actually fight, because how do you predict someone so different to your average villain

Stain's Ideology is summed up rather easily..... Stain believes that Heroes should be selfless saving others and fighting evil to protect innocents, not out of financial gain or for Fame. Stain believed that by killing 'Fake Heroes', as he put it, it would discourage those who weren't really Heroes through Fear and those who were real Heroes would find a renewed reason for being Heroes. As is stated last episode 'In every city Stain appears there is a revitalization of Heroes', because those who are only in it for Money or Fame will quit out of fear of being killed by Stain.

Stain may be going about it the wrong way or whatever, but he's right, plus he's goated for saving Deku. Think about it, he could have escaped quietly while the heroes were occupied with the flying Nomu but he went out of his way to save him because Deku is essentially what he's striving for, a true hero, even if he got himself caught in the process. There's also the fact that he made everybody there shit their pants, even Endeavor, with his sheer obsession alone. I'm only 3 seasons in so far but Stain is easily the best villain, hands down

it's just a story or TV trope, a character freezes people around him just by his sheer ''killing/murderous intent'' or ''Sakki'' in japanese. it happens in alot of animes,so it's not a quirk level up

Nah they were just intimidated. Several of the heroes are shown moving even after the we see stain’s aura go everywhere. Likewise if thry had been unable to move Deku likely would have said so. He didn’t say they couldn’t move just that they couldn’t bring themselves to stand against/ attack stain. (Edit: if it had been an effect of stain’s quirk they would have know as many of them would have been unable to move for several more minutes). Season 5 spoilers below: Also I don’t think quirk awakenings were thought of by the writer at this point. If they were I imagine they would have been mentioned when all might explained you can change the details of your quirk registration in season 1. He only mentions that you can do this because it’s often that people misunderstand how their quirks work. If the writer had thought of the idea of quirks changing/ evolving by this early all might would have mentioned it as another reason quirk registration details can be changed. Edit 2: also we’ve never seen quirk awakens change the quirk that much. Toga still needed to consume blood, and geten’s quirk was still linked to ice/water/moisture. We’ve never seen a quirk change to completely cut out a key part of its original functionality. If stain’s quirk did awaken then it still likely would require blood consumption to activate.

The reason Stain is so damn good as a villian is his philosophy makes sense. He personally can't be a hero, but he admires them - So he kills all "corrupt cops and criminals" so the leftover people get honest "cops".

As a norm it is true....people don't change that fast, Eureka moments are very rare. If you look at Drug Addicts generally you will see a cycle of drug use, dependence and seeking help, the person will get clean and within a few months be right back to the drug use.

There's people out there who quit smoking because a doctor straight up told them that they won't live to see their grandchildren be born if they don't. It's rare, yes, but sometimes the right words in the right moment IS all that is needed to change someone.

You know in his extremely messed up way Stain has a point. This hero society in MHA is very faulty. And he is trying to get ridd of the heroes who aren't truely heroes. But he would never hurt true heroes like Allmight and Deku. I mean his way of doing it by litterally killing them off is completely messed up. But Stain tryes to solve a problem that the majority of people don't even recognize.

Eh, not really. At the end of the day, a human who was saved from an emergency situation won't really care about if the hero saved them because he was selfless or because he wanted the fame of saving someone. As long as they do good, their motives don't really matter that much. It's like when people say donations don't count if you don't make them anonymously because then you just want the good PR from having donated. And like... yeah, but also the starving children who go food because of the donation really don't care why they donated.

Yes, it was because he respects Deku. Lil mans is following All Might’s example of what it means to be a hero, namely selflessness and bravery. That’s all Stain wants to see from anyone who wants to claim the title, and why he had none for Iida. As for villains, he also has no respect for lack of conviction. Arbitrary chaos is just as unhealthy for a society as a group of mostly glorified celebrities claiming to be heroes, in his eyes. So because Deku was trying to be what Stain considers to be a true hero, he saved him from the Nomu.

Stains ideology is he wants only true heros. He respected Deku and saved him bc Deku fought stain not for vengance but for his friend and the other pro who he did not know. Deku put the lives of others above his own the moment he got there. To stain that showed deku was a true hero to him just as all might bc all might prioritized innocent lives over his own. That stains ideology. He thinks heros nowadays only do it for the money and the fame not actually saving lives. Thats why he pointed the pro out to iida and told him he was a fake bc iida didnt try to save a live he just tried to take one. I believe stain is right about heros but goes about it wrong. And he was wrong about changing bc it wasnt just in a moment it was an entire build up through iida life. Iida never expierienced being a hero he just saw and read about what it meant. But it was that moment and those words that showed iida the true meaning of being a hero. Thats just my thought
