As a HERO fan myself, I am struggling to see the end board of the "Elemental HERO Vyon" and "Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal" found at 8:40 ; Judging by the commentary, it is safe to assume the line of play goes as follow: 1 - Normal Summon Vyon 2 - Vyon effect send Shadow Mist to GY. Shadow Mist then adds Malicious. 3 - Vyon banish Shadow Mist to add Poly 4 - Poly fuses Vyon and Malicious into Dangerous 5 - Malicious effect then summons another copy from the deck. 6 - Overlay both Malicious and Dangerous into Beatrice 7 - Beatrice effect (Detaching Malicious) then sends Denier to the GY, Denier then summons itself back and recycles Malicious. 8 - Malicious (detached from Beatrice) then summons Malicious from the deck (recycled from Denier) So now the board state is : Beatrice with Dangerous as material; Malicious and Denier on the field. Now what are you supposed to do? You can't go into Anaconda as you don't have materials in the deck anymore for Fusion Destiny; Also, you can't use crossguy's effect since his restriction is for the entire turn, not only after the effect resolves. So, the only remaining targets are Knightmare Unicorn and Wonder Driver, both of which doesn't do anything on their own.

Yeah I don't understand how this is worth cutting the best Extender/ Starter in the deck down to 1 copy. I assume you send Plasma and Draw Hand off of Fusion Destiny but um, yeah that's still not impressive

@@williamcronshaw5262 Yes! The Beatrice play would be viable if there were Draw Hand and Plasma in this list, but still that line of combo really doesn't go anywhere relevant. Even if you want to rely solely on Vyon to make your combos (which is indeed the best normal summon in the deck), Faris is your best extender in archetype if your normal summon gets stopped, and having at least one extender from hand to keep playing if interrupted is a very valuable counter play that is seem in most recent relevant meta decks (Tri-Brigade, Swordsoul, etc..). Not only that, but cutting down on Faris you are losing the resource advantage it generates and the whole synergy within archetype (discarding Malicious, Shadow Mist and all the cards you don't want in hand), and not to mention the potential for Increase follow-up plays.

@@esseubot I guess it's relevant if you drew a hand full of hand traps and no other Hero to discard for Farris, but even then it's niche. Turns out that the actual line of play that MBT forgot to build his deck for is to use Beatrice in order to send Break the Destiny in order to search D-Force. So the end board is actually just Plasma boosted by D-Force. Which is decent but probably not reliable when going into games 2 and 3. Plus I mean, is it really worth playing two more bricks and cutting down on Farris just for a beefed up Plasma? Standard Hero combos can already pretty easily end on at least Destroy Phoenix Enforcer plus Plasma, plus occasionally Dark Law.

@@gregoryford2532 -a is the plural neuter suffix but -os is the male accusative gendered suffix. so really it depends on if you consider stratos grammatically male and the case of the noun. take a look at the o-stem table and you'll see that the singular of -os is always -um, but plural of -um isn't always -os. it's often -a like you said.

That's why I spent so much of the video talking about it - Stratos DOESN'T do the same thing as Vyon, it makes the Faris lock mandatory earlier since you've got no way to extend past the NS without D-HEROes in the GY. This cuts off Verte lines if your opponent has drawn a single handtrap. FD is a one-card combo you can deploy AFTER your mainline has been interrupted. It has flexibility AS a combo-starter, but that's not its primary purpose. At some point HERO players will have to play with respect to their opponent's gameplan!

@@MBTYuGiOh but in the video you say vyon dumps mist, searches mali fuses into dangerous, mali ef and then ranks into Beatrice. What does that do? Also if you care about verte so much just don't use the second ef of faris to put increase there. 3 vyon sets up no board on his own or even with a hero name in hand, unlike stratos. Faris is a great way to play through hts on stratos and if they don't ht stratos you add mali and pitch it off faris. You now have 3 bodies. There are plenty of other issues I have with the list but in terms of vyon vs stratos that's my argument.

Destroy Phoenix Enforcer's name can be read in several ways. 1. "Destroy Phoenix, Enforcer!" Meaning: someone wants to end Aster Phoenix but can't say kill because they're in a kids cartoon. 2. "Destroy, Phoenix Enforcer!" Meaning: summoning the other Burstinatrix and Avian fusion and attacking for game. 3. "Destroy Phoenix Enforcer!" I’m a big fan of heroes. I was into DM as a kid, but GX is when I was really a fan. Of course Jaden’s heroes were a big part of that. Seeing how they’ve evolved over the years puts a smile on my face, because even if the “elemental” Heroes are almost useless these days; the name of Hero lives on in Yugioh.

Honestly, the one Stratos made sense to me. Most of the time he's a normal summon, and your normal summons, or summons off of Solid Soldier, could easily be going to anyone else, and they'd do a lot more than give you advantage that gets you nowhere or locks you out of anything else.

I don't like Solid Solid Soldier cause amazing as it is, if your opponent stops it's special effect you effectively wasted a normal summon on a extender. At least with Stratos it will be good bait.

You’re right about Stratos. Vyon is the better normal summon and shadow mist is the better a hero lives special summon. Bode isn’t out yet and I’ve already cut Stratos to 2 and E-Emergency call to 1. Honest Neos is on the chopping block too. Once it was unthinkable not to run 3 Stratos and 3 E call in a Hero deck but times changed, it’s sad deck losing it’s identity and dark attribute is taking over more and more but oh well.

I have to be honest, it's though not having Volcanic Support, but with Raid: Shadow Legend I have managed to cast my worries away and play this AWESOME Game. Raid will give me enough months/years of pure enjoyment until that sweet day of Some Pyro Support arrives (I even droped a few bucks on the season pass just to have a headstart) Day 924 of enjoying RAID: Shadow Legends while waiting for Good Pyro/Volcanic Support to arrive in the OCG/TCG..........
