I think hero mistakenly named their product, actually this should be mavrick with a 440 engine and the actual mavrick should be a 125 which will really suit that retro modern style.

They should have brought an cruiser or adv or scrambler with the 440 engine instead of the most basic bike. They had so many options : honda rebel 500 cruiser design. Ducati scrambler MY2022 design. KLR design for ADV. They can easily patent those cus they are not in use in india.

There's kicker present here.. Did you notice.. In an era where it's disappearing.. The pillion seat could have been wider and flat.. Pillion (female) may not feel comfortable if they are plus size and seated one sided dressed in sarees. Otherwise looks promising to give a tough competition in the 125 segment.

What i have seen THE ECU IS INTEGRATED INTO THE THROTTLE BODY WHICH IS FAILING MISERABLY IN Hero bikes and that was all over KZbin. SHAME ON YOU HERO. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Atleast it was not same for high end bikes like Xpulse which have another set of issues. Only for those who bought and are looking to buy Pulsar NS125 or Raider 125 split seat model will look at this bike. Others will simply look for any normal single seat low pillion seat height version bike such as Shine, Glamour, SP125, Pulsar 125 or even CT125X which makes more than 90% sales of 125cc here in India. If this same Xtreme 125 bike launched with normal single seat with low pillion seat such as Glamour or a Regular standard pulsar or even their own former CBZ Xtreme seat then it would really pose a threat to every 125cc out there. Seriously because you will have almost everything in this single bike. Hero engineers/ designer team are dumb and simply don't care about sales of any model and they even dont know why Splendor, HF deluxe, Glamour sell so much. They even dont care why TVS released a Raider 125 single seat and why Bajaj released a N150 with single seat when there are already split seat varaints and even better N160 when compared. Hero team should release variants which wouldn't cost a bomb when they are putting so much effort, time and money when designing and launching a all new bike. Not even one higher authority asshole in HERO has that thought. Pityful. Even the former CBZ Xtreme was sold in decent numbers competing with Unicorn and Pulsar when compared with todays Xtreme 160R. One reason is because of the Seat and comfort. I hardly see Xtreme 160R on roads when compared with NS160, Apache 160 4V, N160 and FZs. Gixxer 155 is one damn good bike and it sells in single digits. Why..??? Is it a bad bike?? No. FZ is selling in decent numbers. Why? Is it better than Apache, Pulsar, Xtreme 160R and Gixxer. No. Suzuki discontinued GS150R which was slowly gaining popularity. The companies like Suzuki, Hero are just mad and hopeless. Until unless they take prospective buyers feedback they cant beat Honda, Bajaj in 125/150/160cc category
