The Egyptians were multiracial, but originated from North and East African people. They contained Amazigh/Libyans(they came from central North Africa), mostly Nubians(were apart of the First Egyptians), and other East and North East African people. Herodotus and many other writers from that time clarify that there faces were “burnt” and of the Ethiopian race (Sub Saharan Africans). When he says this, he’s referring to the majority he saw. Brown and darkskin Africans. He also states they have wooly hair. The only wooly haired people are SS Africans with curly or coily hair. Lastly, other writers describe them looking similar to Southern Indians. The majority were East Africans with more people coming from the north and central North Africa gradually over time from invasions and migrations. Another interesting fact is that most Greek Gods were derived from the Egyptians.

Herodotus never said Egyptians were black-skinned he used the word "Swarthy" Olive Skin) He meant they were darker than Greeks. And he though Colchians were Egyptians, Colchians are native to Western Georgia The Egyptians were multi-colored, not ethnic, but the vast majority, like the present Egyptians, are light-skinned in the north and center and a little darker in the south. Roman Geographer Arrian, Indica, VI. 9 South Indians are like the Aethiops, Also stating that North Indians are more like the Egyptians. (Strabo, Geographica - 7 BC) saying that people of North India (Pakistan) look like the Egyptians, people of South India look like the Aethiops.

Oh yes! I’ve followed him for years on KZbin! And yes I love the Durants! I own the set but the Age of Napoleon copy that I have was signed by him and his wife. I wouldn’t even know that until a few years after buying it is when I actually opened it to read, haha.
