it's 51+ their regular damage so they kill 69, it feels good, given their insane defense and attack.

Also it wasn't really fair the human vs AI battle. AI so dumb it doesn't realise it has ranged power superiority and then it targets the Gnoll Marauders with Archangels :/

The AI is bad at playing on either side. Did you not see that waste of Archangels that was made only to kill the gnolls? Also not to meantion Tazar has armourer speciality and starts with advanced armourer...

I screamed in their game vs Stronghold, they moved their wyverns 1 square in front of their army, without attacking squat.

It was funny with the first upgraded fight how the mighty gorgon focused the tier 1 unit for some reason, instead of destroying the arcangels.

AI finds tier 1 creatures having lower defence, can deal with more damage. Apparently the death stare ability is not coded in there.

At the Human play, I was waiting for you to hit the Archangels with the Mighty Gorgons :))) they hit Tier 7 Units with Death Stare sooo hard due to Tier 7 Units High HP! Crazy

Killing archangels first helps, since it prevents them from using their revive ability. It seems that castle units just synergise so well together. Zealots are squishy but do so much damage, and it's not likely for the enemy AI to focus and kill them fast since archangels and champions will rush their lines first, in exception to conflux, so they get to bring the pain.

That is true, but in a full game, towns have other strengths that are not related to just pure weekly army growth power. So in videos like these we can't really see the power of each faction. Not to mention the AI is not the most competent XD. But still these videos are so fun to watch.

So, my favorite fractions in hommiii are fortress and dungeon, and I really, really r e a l l y hate castle. I hate how everything with the imperialistic christian motives in any game has to be strongest, and must win and stuff like that. Thank you, kind sir for destroying them at the end, it was very pleasing.

They are good in regular games, but not "the strongest", I personally don't get the "imperialistic christian motives" being best in every game, Castle isn't even the best in most HMM games.

@@chirpchirpy123 No they are only stronger than any tier 7 unit against tier 6-7 units, and possibly against tier 5 units. But against tier 1-4 I doubt they are anywhere near most tier 7's. Still, seeing as the tiers 5-7 are usually the biggest threats, they are argubly more useful in a sense.

Not being a pro is one thing, but for fucking real! You opt to use zounds of your MGs on Halberdiers rather than on Archangels or at least Champions!? I'm talking about AI, of course. You did play like a pro!

Fortress is the town of great contrast. In the hands of the AI its probably the weakest town. Has no good archers or overpowered flying units. But in good hands its easily the most powerful faction in the game. If you can position hydras well they can deal more damage on the field then any other level 7 unit. If you can properly use gorgons, they will deal more damage then any other unit IN THE GAME. If you can utilize curses casted by serpent flies, basilisks and wyverns you can take these units from average to the best. But that requires strategy which is something AI just cant figure out.

Yep, you can definitely see the abilities doing work (Weakness, Poison, Petrify) when the AI was playing.. of course the Hydra was lollygagging with the Jousters :)) The second fought he utilized the Hydra very well, I really love teleporting Hydras inside enemy castle, it is a similar situation, Poison is also very strong! And of course the Gorgons against these Archangels was beautiful.. Death Stare is kinda disappointing against low tier creatures however. I love Fortress

Mateusz Tur Fortress is not bad but saying its the most powerfull faction is too much. If Castle was also human player he will kick Fortress ass and there is nothing you can do.

eeee, saying its the most powerful , i think its a bit of overstatement. Lets not forget now, that the castle units were played by the AI, what idiot would rush in with the archangels like that? Right in the range of the mighty gorgon, at best attack it first with the angels, so a lot of them will die, and so long "death stare". Also as we have seen, he didn't win by A HUGE MARGIN, he won but.. if castle would have just attacked the mighty gorgons instead of the lame ass gnolls first [which was also probably an overkill]... it would probably have ended differently. Really just imagine if the archangels attack mighty gorgon first,, we can bet 200 will die at least, maybe even 300? HUGE DIFFERENCE in the entire battle. And he couldn't even evade the first round, and then archers attack it too, 1-200 left.. Ye i agree, they have cool special abilities but,, if your enemy is not an idiot it will be much different than this. Also i was "amazed" how nice the AI space his units against the hydras in AI vs AI battle. He didn't do it vs him [matters also]. Mmm so ye, gorgons are awesome but if he played castle in the last battle... i think fortress would have been annihilated soo hard. Of course then there is magic, positioning blabla, but in a way like this, without spells, just pure strength , i don't think fortress has more than 25% chance to win vs Castle.

Fortress have 0% chance vs Castle under this conditions if both are played by equally skilled human. I tested it. 10 battles. Castle win easy.

What's worse is that Fortress is a might oriented town, which limits its ability to use spells to make its creatures' lives easier. Nevertheless it's not far fetched to say that Fortress can definitely go up against Castle if invested and played cleverly, especially if you control Tazar, under whom all of his units seem to be made out of diamond lol

Hydras are so weak. They got humilated by champs, and 3 of them failed to kill 19 spears at the end.
