Nicolai had worst fate really. He's killed by a guy who has plot armor. His wife raises him as undead, damning his soul forever. Then she leaves him to his own misery, until he's mercy-killed by former allies. Not content, she gets impregnated by the demon sovereign. Lastly, her wife and the guy who killed him fall in love with each other and escape to a far away place, while the kingdom is screwed over by a succubus.

Although not a good action His wife loved him so much she tried to bring him back from the dead , she got took against her will by the demon lord who while impregnating her (probably wasn't by actual rape as the games not that dark/ the demons huge) and after going through hell she's just not in the right place to be ruling the kingdom thats why she abdicates to Freyda

Here's the thing about the cutscenes that become available after finishing the campaign -- Not all of them are used. Some appear to have been prepared but later unused because they changed how they want the mission to run...

This comment was a while ago, but I'll respond anyway. If that really is claimed in Tribes of the East, then it's a pretty damn big retcon. It's one of the main points that drives Agrael/Raelag's story forward that he's the one that killed Nicolai - as he put it, things just got simpler, and a lot more complicated. Biara, so far as we know in vanilla HoMM5, never disguised herself as Agrael/Raelag, only Beatrice and Shadya (with, so I understand it and is implied at the end), Isabel.

+Bit Maid As I mentioned it's been a long time for me... Might be a menu option in Tribes of the East. There is a mod that lets you play the previous campaigns using the Tribes of the East engine.

Hum, is that a creation, because it's not Agrael (Raelag) who killed Nicolaï, but Biara with Raelag's appearance... it's said at the end of the last of the campaign of TotE!

@Hyperion dialog is a bit off place in TotE. Biara was one who did all chaos in Ashan during Heroes 5 trilogy. Raelag redeemed himself after visiting Tieru. He killed Nicolai, as Griffin Emperor stand on his way.

Isabel was not that righteous for being decieved by Markal for Reviving Nicolai and Abandoning Her Paladin, Godric and Invading the former allies. 7 neutral faction vs 1 evil faction.
