imagine, how many passion is in this art, what we used to call "game", i was arround 11, so it is usual that we are effected so easily in this age but... pure magic here, from sound, to graphic, to "harmony"- a absolute masterpiece in any dimension´s...

@@mlml8018 I'm from the northern part of sweden, this landscape reminds a lot from where I'm from and old Borse buildings. Think that's one part why I love it. But yes, would love to visit both Hawaii and Vietnam.

I firmly believe this is the best Fantasy video game soundtrack of all time, and this song is the crowning achievement of Heroes 3. Absolutely flawless, and to hear it in HD is magical.

I'm very fond of HOMM 2's music as well, but this game really took the cake. Back in my teens I brought my game to install on my dad's PC. I was playing it and my dad, who's gaming experience encompasses maybe an hour of Star Fox 64, the man who never even bothered to give video games a single glance 99.99% of the time, had to stop and admire the town art and music. I think he didn't believe video games were capable of such beauty. And yes, that music was rampart.

@@dicklaurent1 Whats even more upsetting is the fact there still immune to the level four beneficial spells like resurrection, Gold dragons got the short end of the stick

In the days, I always stared at the foggy mountains and the dragons flying in the background, often letting my imagination run wild that I would ride on one of them into battle. some 20 years later, and I still hold onto that imagination.

You travelled a long road, exhausted and barely sleeping on your horse when you hear the Elven Horns (0:00) as you arrive in front of the majestic Rampart. This place is like no other, some say you can pass next to it without seeing it. The trees seems alive here and play hide and seek with both ennemies and travellers. Did you just saw one shaking a hand to you ? (0:18). You rub your eyes, just to see Centaurs helping a grumpy dwarf transporting crates of crystals, you can see a Ranger counting the crates and frowning on his notes...He looks like a new hired, this thought makes you smile, thinking about your own beginnings... The caravan passes next to the city hall and suddenly shadows appears on the ground along with cavalier's shouts. (0:46) A group of Pegasus are flying back from an expedition, and you feel attracted by their beauty. You start to follow them between the houses, you see Elves training their bows and mages heading to the guild, a loud tavern catches your hearing, you stumble upon a dwarf and you realise you've just lost yourself. Around the corner (1:13) something glitters to your eyes, like a field, greener than others . Unicorns, the ones from the child tales, beautiful and dangerous, gracious and strong... Your vision seems to decay the more you look at the mystics creatures, you must continue your way... You fill like part of this magical place (1:40). You keep walking and realise you can't even say if you're inside nature or civilisation. Everything seems alive and united, an army of leaves and roots... You are wandering, as your thoughts, for minutes in this green maze, as if you knew a path... Then the wake up (2:05). You start to feel small and harmless, cold and useless... The moutain... shadows running on it (2:14)... Dragons. You stand here, fascinated by the scene, for minutes, or hours, who knows.... (2:34) You're home.

It really did it, managed to grab me into this magic world of HOMM, and western myth. I really wish we could also create such a wonderful game in China, a game that could tell the what fantastic civilization we once built.

My all time favourites were Rampart and Inferno as a kid. Still they are. I wish i could go back in time and experience hearing these soundtracks and beutiful artworks the first time.
