I've always found Heroes IV the exotic rarity of the franchise, and honestly liked it a lot precisely for that. They peaked at Heroes III, so Heroes IV just needed to experiment in order to find something new and refreshing to offer. But a good chunk of those changes were disliked or misunderstood by many, with the only exception of the music... no one listens to that soundtrack without agreeing on how beautiful it is. And if it wasn't beautiful enough, boom! Heroes Orchestra. The dedication you put into your arrangements convert that music into something higher that resonate with all the nostalgia we HoMM fans have from all those great years playing these masterpieces. Once again, thank you very much for bringing that incredibly top-tier quality to the soundtracks we all enjoyed for many years. You improved something that was already outstanding, and that's a thing doable only by people that has something special. Love you.

HOMM IV has one insane feature. You could turn no a setting that would make the guards on mines and stuff attack you if you got too close. This could make the game very different and crazy hard. I loved it.

Back in the day, I found HoMM 4 so experimental it felt... alien. For example, I always found myself struggling to find enough gold to buy units; it felt as if the "City Hall" and "Capitol" didn't yield nearly enough gold to buy one week's troops from one city, let alone if there were several cities, compared to HoMM 3. In addition, I have this memory that some factions had units that could not be produced out of cities which just felt wrong to me. If memory serves me correctly, there was supposed to be a Mantis unit for the Nature/Rampart -like faction which could not be produced out of city, for example. If they made some HD/4K remake edition of HoMM 4 with modernized graphics and UI, I would give it another try. The ability to have the hero on the battle field felt also weird back then but nowadays I might find it intriguing.

Really sad to read that. In fact, H3 music was quit original by Romero (and he is great there), while H4 was largely taken from a sample library (this one from AMG Complete Celt), because of some time/financing issues.

Trudno tego słuchać... tylko jeden raz:) Wiadomo, człowiek lubi bardziej to, z czym jest lepiej osłuchany. No więc powoli dochodzę do etapu, gdy bardziej podoba mi się opracowanie Heroes Orchestra niż oryginał. W moim odczuciu to najlepsza aranżacja ze wszystkich utworów, jakie słyszałem w wykonaniu HO, dziękuję!

​@@HeroesOrchestra Natura jednak zdecydowanie w oryginale. Celowo tam nie pisałem, staram się nie komentować, gdy doceniam nakład pracy, ale mi się niespecjalnie podoba. Wywołany do tablicy napiszę w takim mało widocznym miejscu, że warstwa wokalna mnie tam zupełnie nie przekonuje - bardzo brakuje mi tam nastroju tej naturalnej sielanki, weszło jednostajne napięcie pozbawione konkretnego wyrazu. Nawet nie potrafię powiedzieć jaki nastrój wyparł ten pierwotny. Z całą pewnością poszarpane partie chóru w ogóle mi tam nie pasuje, solistka wydaje się mocno spięta (wierzę, że w studio byłoby lepiej). Podsumowując, takie opracowanie Natury - zwłaszcza w porównaniu do Morza - wydaje się w moim odczuciu niewiele wnoszące, a przy oryginale wręcz jakby trochę kanciaste. Moim zdaniem zasługuje na remaster;)
