In those days Japan was the world leader in producing 2d games prior to the advent of 3rd games which came much later. These games brings back so much memories.Double Dragon, Contra, Mario, Teenage mutant Ninja turtles 3 and it's a never ending list wow feels so much to play these games again. These games are evergreen. Those were the days.

I still remember the day I beat this game with my big brother way back in 90's. We play this in two player mode; I played the blue guy and he take the red one. We fight the final boss together at the last level. When the boss's life is clearly will be over in one hit, my brother's character died. Then I killed the boss using the “super knee”. With the help of my brother, I am fortunate to finished the game to the end. Honestly, because we're so young then (and not native English speakers, I might add) we don't really understand the boss's dying words nor what the game tell about the girl's future. But we don't care. Haha! Now I am on my 30 years of age. Time flies so fast. This video is so nostalgic to me!

How much nostalgia there is in this game like not remembering the double dragon, unforgettable moments...🥺💋❤️
My brother and I (then age 8 and 5) could never get past the second to last stage with the shadow boss. I just watched this entire walk through just so I could see you beat this game. The nostalgia was amazing.
I'm 42 now and I'm here 2 say this game was my life. I miss the 80s man. Back when me and my little brother would play this all nite long. I don't remember it being this easy doe..

4:02 = I never really understood the logic behind that 1st boss. He takes a few hits, then he dissappears. He then comes back only to take one more hit, and then dissappears, never to be seen again. It's like he gives himself a second chance but then says "screw this, this guy is too good for me, let me take off and watch that Desperate Housewives marathon on TV"

From memory you can draw him back to the ledge to the left of screen and knee him off the side of the building. Kneeing people off ledges was my favourite part of this game.

Yeah, always fun to knock them off a high ground with a knee attack and even more rewarding when you do it to a stronger enemy with more hp.

my favourite was landing those helicopter kicks(the one where you spin kick in the air, not sure about the name). so satisfying

I always found this game very eerie. The whole idea that Marion is DEAD, coupled with a creepy, ominous soundtrack... it gave this game a creepy feel.

And fighting the Shadow Clone too. Even some of the enemies seemed so dark in nature. You're so right, this game gave me nightmares at the time.

Real nostalgia. I totally forgot this game out of the foundation laying game changing franchises. Without double dragon we may never have some of the smash hit arcades we have today. Good share. I actually zeroed the game as a kid in two player mode. It was a blast
7:40 he saved him from death sacrificing yourself haha

That one big guy saved his life at the end of Level 3 by throwing him away from the chopper door.

I watched this after 23 years 🥰🥰 brings back so many memories..
I'm 15 y/o, and every time I go to my grandparent's house, I always ask to take my father's old NES to play this game, I first did this when I was 10 and I still do it. This game is one of the best I've ever played. I never finished it. But I promise I will next time I'll go there. There's no way I'm playing it on an emulator, it loses all the interest I think... But anyway, this game is incredible and no one can say otherwise.
