I was a teenager when Heroes V was released. I learned to use software to extract music from the game files because I loved this OST so much! (And there was no other way to get it back then) I just had to have the Sylvan theme in my player, it was my favorite 😍

I was a child that played heroes 3 from like age of 3 or 5. I was blown away by how heroes have changed, because I never played 4th, but got the luxury to try 5th, I was already a little grown. But it was insane for me, Sylvanis was one of the first towns I played in.

That flautist absolutely nailed it And to whomever made the arrangement changes... bravo. The soft transition at 5:16 instead of going to the normally heavy "war drop" just took it to a much deeper level

MAGNIFICO!!! Dla mnie, prócz Akademii, chyba najlepszy kawałek z całej HoM&M V. Zagrany fenomenalnie, z doskonałym doborem dźwięków z oryginalnej ścieżki. Jak dla mnie, brakowało mi tej ściany dźwięku, która uderzała w drugiej części utworu w oryginale, jednak interpretacja jest bardzo dobra i bardzo przyjemnie się tego słucha.

Is it not haven, rather than heaven? Haven means safe harbour, anchorage, refuge or sanctuary. Heaven means an extra personal state of consciousness, beyond ordinary human consciousness, continuous communion with the Divine Light and shared consciousness within Christ, with all other members of Heaven.

A magical piece indeed. The transition at 3:02 - just wow... And yes, the slowed-down tempo and improvisations at this concert make the themes sound like a movie "Director's Cut" or something; indeed, while the original might've felt too short, considering its beauty, this tempo truly allows to enjoy it thoroughly. Great indeed... (however, personally, the choir at 4:07 and later on doesn't feel quite fitting, but, of course, with these arrangements, it's all about experimentation and personal preference)

Very very nice interpretation although it would be awesome if you also create the original track for variety. This one is more nostalgic and calm while original is much more energetic. Would like to have the original as well in addition to this which i repeat is very very good.

Jeśli zespół ogarnia a nie leci bez patrzenia, to generalnie trochę tak jakby orkiestra była instrumentem na którym gra dyrygent (tzn ofkors każdy muzyk też dodaje swojego indywidualizmu). Muzycy odbierają od niego tempo, dynamikę, vibe etc. Jako prawie jedyny z zespołu słyszy też proporcje pomiędzy instrumentami mniej więcej tak jak publika i może je zmieniać jeśli jest problem.

I agree. It's not just the slower tempo. The original was a vibrant, colorful and exceptionaly moving and powerful piece. I was really looking forward for the "explosion" when the drums came in after the calm intro ended, but it never came. It's like almost always "on the verge of". Your work is usually spectacular but I think in this instance you kindda missed the edge of this fantastic piece. I just feel like the full power of the entire orchestra was not utilised here.
