I did not think that this show would go so far as to have a tragic horror story, and goddamn did it end tragically. I was actually scared for Stephen’s mind and soul the entire time. And when he was pleading for Oatu to save his universe only to be shown how it was all his fault, chills. That final scene of Strange just whimpering “No, no, no, I’m sorry.” has to be one of the most heartbreaking scenes I have seen in years.

This is my favorite episode so far. I'm so glad the "reckless" Dr Strange won in the end. I feel it HAD to end tragically. If they had made the "rational" Strange the winner I would have been disappointed. Having the hero save the day in this episode would have ruined the story. Plus, "reckless" Strange was the superior sorcerer. He put in centuries of mystical work that "rational" Strange did not.

Dark, sad ending stories are necessary to help us feel the weight of the situations. We often hear “the fate of the universe lies in the balance etc. Blah blah blah” in super hero movies but we never see it actually end. We only see successful endings. Which makes us desensitized and un-impressed with the stories. This was an incredible episode. Loved it.

See how the green from the time stone turns red at the end (,like the colors of the infinity stones)? From "time" to "reality" manipulation, because I think bringing Christine back would warp and change reality to an extend where it breaks the rules of time, because without her death Strange wouldn't become a sorcerer, so he wouldn't even be there in the first place, doing magic trying to bring her back.

And for people asking about absolute point in times and the time stone, the time stone works by reversing time, not actual time travel, it cannot reverse a point in time that would cause a paradox on itself. Agustin mentioned this was the first time we've seen the Watcher's features but if you look at the very beginning of the episode, you can see his lips moving in the shadows while he's towering over the city narrating. This is interesting because at the beginning of ep2 his face is in shadow but we could see part of his cheek and chin, but neither are moving even though he's narrating at the time. The number of scenes he's been in has slowly increased, not counting the intro, he's in 1 scene in ep1, 3 in ep2, 3 in ep3, and 4 in ep4 and he's becoming increasingly more detailed. I think these are hints building towards him eventually interfering.

The beginning of Doctor Strange actually takes place right after the events of Civil War. I just picked up on this when re-watching the movie a couple of days ago; Right before his crash, when Strange is driving and asks Billy "what do you got for me?", Billy says: "I got a 35-year old Air Force Colonel, crushed his lower spine in some sort of experimental armor. I want her Strange,Wong,Chavez, and possibly another Wong and Strange from a different universe have to team up against Cthon or Shuma or even Nightmare.
