In the early years of my life i would never miss norman wisdom movies In my building life i worked in the isle of man for 5years my first evening My dad said that he had a good friend he wanted me to meet I couldnt belive in who it was still as funning as i remebered A few years later we got a job at hes home and i was looking after it And one summers day he dressed up in ladys outfit so no body would know Im....he still funning to this day and i have my memorys too God bless you ...RIP

What a lovely Human Being Norman was, I have worked in the business myself and have been on the Variety Bills with many conceited untalented piles of rubbish, who didn't even have one per cent of Norman Wisdom's talent . A very sad childhood , but he used that in his powerful performances both on the stage and thank God on Cinema Films, it was a privilege for me to have lived on the same planet and shared the same years as Norman Wisdom,

I met him in Deal, Kent. Whilst I was based down there, I was on duty at Royal Marines Deal on the main gate, I only said "hi" but he just waved and pretended to trip on the pavement, very funny. He had a love for the Armed Forces

Couldn't agree more about today's so-called 'comedians'. They have no charm or charisma, whatsoever. Comedians like Norman knew how to win the hearts of an audience, so thank God we've got all these films and documentaries to look back on and enjoy. I hope Norman was happy. He was clearly a very determined and hard working guy. Seemed like he set his mind to doing something and damned well did it. I loved his films as a kid and they are still funny. His comedy has aged very well. I show it to my wife and kids ( lot younger than me ). It clearly transcended language and culture as well.

I still watch Normans movies and still laugh 😂 my head off, It's sad 😭 that he and his crew are all gone,Norman would have lived much longer if he had not been put into the Nursing 🏡 home, he deteriorated very fast after going there, He had enough wealth to hire a Nurse or 2,but his Children put him into a place where he was lost,what a horrible thing to do to him,after he brought the two brats up after their Mother pissed off with another guy,and left the Children with their Dad...RIP NORM.....

Norman was in the 10th Royal Hussars - a cavalry regiment of the British Army. The amalgamation of the 10th Royal Hussars and the 11th Hussars in 1969 formed The Royal Hussars (Prince of Wales's Own). In 1992, this was amalgamated with the 14th/20th King's Hussars to form the King's Royal Hussars (KRH). KRH in Tidworth is my final posting having previously been in a Germany for over 20 years. it's so sad when the really talented actors are gone. So many of the so-called comics today, rely on swearing & vulgarity, trying to be funny.
