There was one execution that Henry VIII deeply regretted for the rest of his life. His Chief Minister Thomas Cromwell had sorted out many of the King's great problems, and Cromwell had made the King very rich but he was a ruthless man who would stop at nothing to keep Henry VIII happy. Cromwell was turned on following the King's failed marriage to his fourth wife Anne of Cleves, and he was condemned for treason.
