Trailblazer was my first coaster ride in 1974 and is the first steel coaster @ Hersheypark. It joins Comet in park prestige , it is a great beginner coaster for families and the young. It absolutely has a place in the park.

I think the park can benefit for wider paths, maybe close all of the Founders Way booths and replace them with new food booths, flat rides, and even a new coaster so the crowds is not as congested in that area. Also I would like to add another dark ride in the expansion area so the pressure can be held off from Cupfusion because that ride has the longest lines due to it's popularity with families and poor capacity.

I really hope you’re wrong on Trailblazer. There’s nostalgia of course since I enjoyed that coaster as a kid when bigger coasters scared me but that’s also why it needs to stay. Hershey appeals not just to coaster enthusiasts but also families and it’s such a good starter coaster. You’re right that it doesn’t have a ton of thrills but that’s the point

Trailblazer isn’t going anywhere for a while yet. It still gets pretty long lines because it’s great for little ones. Just like all mine trains, it might not be much to us, but little kids love them.

Idk my daughter is 6 she thinks it’s 💩 it’s had its share of maintenance issues this year you may be right they may keep it around a little longer but if they look to replace a coaster I’d say this is the one also I made suggestions as to what could take its place for the kiddos because they definitely have to offer a few kiddy coasters

They just dumped a lot of money into Trailblazer. They put a new brake system on it last year. It isn't going anywhere any time soon

Awesome video Rich! Something I really enjoy about Hersheypark is how the rides overlap with each other. They definitely maximize their space throughout the park. It would be incredible to see any of these rides come to the park in the future. Excited for the 2024 season to start!

Dragonflier is such a slow loader. Family inverts, even like the S&S Merlins Mayhem, need to extend the final brake run to do 2 train operations. Otherwise, they shouldn't be at large population parks.

I’d love if they change all Intiman coasters to the velocicoaster restraints. I’m not the tallest guy out there but after riding storm runner and Fahrenheit after previously riding velocicoaster, the discomfort to comfort ratio is incomparable. I’d also think they would benefit from adding double sided lockers, better queue lines, and unload station to all coasters.

I go to disney more often than hershey, not by choice. Hershey is far FAR and away the more superior park. Best park in fact that ive ever visited.

#wehatewildmouse and Hershey will not get rid of trailblazer, it is a great family coaster, a lot of ppls first coaster, and if they get rid of wildmouse, which there r rumors of it being for sale, they would prob have a waterpark expansion

@@ThemeParkMotivation Exactly. They have a 10 year plan to massively expand and upgrade Dorney but it is dependent on Iron Menace, but from the looks of it Iron Menace is already getting the park major attention and I can see them having record attendance this year.

Couldn’t agree with you more this park is so devoid of flat rides it’s asinine. They also can replace the claw with an actual Zamperla giant discovery also they can put a zamperla endeavor where the old huss enterprise was located. A Mondail Shake or a Huss Move it would really do well here ect… A Mondail avalanche would do beautifully at this park similar to Canada‘s Wonderland new flat ride they just added.

Hersheypark that is not the only that is famous for this silver dollar city is the same way also. A hand full of flat ride won’t be anywhere near the cost of what a giga or hyper coaster would be.

I don't think a family winged coaster is a great idea. Some people don't like going upside down, or floorless/hanging coasters. Would rather the family launch coaster or family straddle coaster.

In my opinion yes there needs to be a new coaster ... i would enjoy a straddle coater ... yes trailblazer is old & big but that is a starter coaster for kids and i feel if u get rid of that option ur making the park more a thrill park for adults, especially if they also remove wild mouse ... in my opinion the water park is already too big ... they should have purchased different land like Busch Gardens did making it specifically a water park - but kept a few water rides in the park then they wouldn't have land expansion issue's ...

I think that some trapdoor slides should work great in Wild Mouse’s space. They don’t typically take up much land and the water park is really lacking some thrilling body slides.

I personally think Tidal Force is a much better spot. Wild Mouse is to close to Coastline Plunge and technically outside the water park.

I visited Magic Kingdom at Disney World last week and their coasters had seperate loading and unloading platforms. They were able to load and dispatch trains very quickly.

Another huge plus Disney World has over Hersheypark when it comes to rides is Disney is fat guy friendly. I’m 6’2” and around 300 pounds. I can fit on every ride (except flight of passage and that’s due to longer legs), whereas Hershey I cannot fit on most of the rides there. Hershey needs to get bigger restraints on their attractions.

With today’s economy a giga the size of Orion would cost roughly 40million and doesn’t offer something that different then candymonium. Just my opinion HP has always been about return on investment and 40 million could buy them 2 sizable coasters
