My issues is objectively rating them. I have this list which makes sense in my mind. As an example, the Highcom 3S9M is at the top because it's stopping M80A1 all while being sub 6lbs. It's more expensive than the RMA 1092 though. I rated the SAS Hexar lower because it's more expensive and when compared to the G2/3S9M, it let an M80 ball shot through. Not always. It's dependent on bullet construction and the material used in the armor :D

Is Al /Stealth Armor currently selling? Maybe I'll have to see if he's game. The specs have it as a big contender in the RF2 spec sheet at 4.8 lb.

Buffman, when there's foam around the edges, does it clearly feel like foam or is deceiving enough that one would need to peel back the cover to know? Thank you for what you do!

You sometimes won’t know because it could be a rigid foam, so you’d have to pull cover or stab it with a sharp knife

If you could customize an SRT plate what would you want it to stop, how much would you like it to weigh, and how thin would you want it to be

It would need to perform like the M210 or RMA ESRT plate. The issue becomes that at the weights those plates come in at, you can get a III+ coverage for not much more of a hit. It would have to be about .5-.75" thick tops.
