if you switch your retainers to crystarium or anywhere else not the 3 major hub cities, the tax will be less and it'll be more gil in your pocket; less tax to fork out for the buyer too.

Remember when crafting the Rebel Coats, there's no point in trying to HQ. They're glams. HQ doesn't sell for more usually. Since you don't have to HQ, most anyone with high craft can do it quickly.

I sell stacks of elemental crystals (usually 500-600 at a time) when I go out to dig up maps. Saying you got nothing, but there's like 150-200 crystals per map. Reliable income!

You can find a guarantied map on every node until you gather one with the "uncover hidden items"-skill (200gp)

Honestly the other maps you only need 2 people to do them tank/healer and you can do the EW maps like that two. They take a bit longer but you can make a fair amount of profit and may add the fun back into doing maps

If you don’t want to rely on mats just do lvl 60 and 70 full party maps. They drop alot of raw gil in the portal instances. It really doesn’t matter what drops.

People can travel to other worlds to get mats for much cheaper than on my world, but i still sell like crazy even though in comparison to other worlds mine is just overpriced like it's jeff bezos wet dreams... don't think the amount of people that "play the mb correctly" is high enough ^^

Idk what happened in my server, rebel coat was like 1m, so expensive to buy, but im lazy to do maps, then about months later it's only 100k, that's a steal... 10x cheaper...

I never considered just farming old maps, even knowing how powerful BLU can be for the portals, too. I guess with less people doing the lvl 70-80 ones, there's still some gil in there! Thanks for the video and gil making idea! My current favorite way is roulettes for relic and gil + chilling with Eureka bunnies, not a bad gain for little effort.

OR you play stupid. i buyed some buff food to flip on my world. a lot of competition tho so what i did was to place them on the marketboard at a price that still made me a satisfying profit, but wasn't really worth to go down to for my competition. the competition then bought it up to flip them themselfs. Sure i could have undercut correctly but the amount of time it saved me was well worth it.

My FC does map nights where we'll just all run 3 or more of the full party maps each in the party (or multiple parties if more than 8 participate.) and it's a surprising amount of fun and sometimes gil.

This is a great way to make some gil without working hard. You can easily make millions per hour by being tryhard and working at other things, but it's so simple to cruise about and just do maps. People who just want some cash to get by should totally do things like this. Couldn't be me, though. My endgame is hoarding gil like a dragon and making gil angels.

Not the same obv but I farm hw maps solo as blue mage. Theres not any omg your rich drops, but plenty of gil to be had and I seem to get farthe rin that one then any other portal map. Ive got to the bottom like 5-6 times, I basically never get a full clear on other ones.

there are solo-maps for every expansion, the ShB ones are the most profitable because very few people do them and the crafted items are very decent and have a broad appeal whre the ones from previous expansions are not demanded as much. Since most people currently do the EW-maps the supply is way higher, therefore the price is lower

I have 220m and maps played a small part In this. I made most of my money selling mounts from faux hollows and desynth Also something about this mb start is that it's all based on ppl buying it. Which if u flood the mb nobody will. And now with ur guide every1 will do this and prices will tank. Mb isn't a reliable source of gill. Sell cookies in crystarium. Also a huge problem ur making is that ur counting ur profit before ur items sell

You don't get gil when you put things on the marketboard. You get gil when someone is desperate enough to buy the thing you put on the marketboard. You can craft 1,000 Rebel Coats and never make 1 gil if nobody is gonna buy them. I say this just because I'm worried the way you framed making gil as a bit misleading to players who don't understand you can't just "sell" something on the marketboard, but that you can only put it up for sale and hope someone will buy it.

It's not easy, maps relatively rare and the good materials from them are rare as well. If more people buy maps, because of videos like this, it won't be easy to farm them as people will buy hoping for easy flips of gil and map prices will go up 3x.

It seems like you forgot to subtract the cost of the maps from the revenue received from the items 😳. 50 maps at about 20k/each (even if you gathered some of them yourself is counted as opportunity cost…) is 1mil… it costs 600-900Gil to teleport to a 5.x zone - 50 times… then teleporting back to your mb or retainer for a new map so let’s say 1k gil teleport per map…so 50k in transportation costs for 50 maps. 1.5 mil in sales on market board will take a 75k tax cut…. so let’s break this down from the toppppp. 1.5mil revenue - 1mil map materials cost - 50k transportation - 75k tax = 375k for a week of maps…You can get more than this amount by doing all your roulettes on role in need in just 2 days 🎉🎉🎉👍👍👍. I hope those jackets and other winnings sell before the mb undercuts you to a loss 😳
