The former German Emperor Wilhelm II walks with his wife Hermine and her daughters across the snowy grounds of the Huis Doorn estate; we see them by the drawbridge, the gate, in the woods, in the orangery, and in the village near the Rijksstraatweg. Princess Henriette is filmed as she takes pictures of the imperial couple with a camera.
De voormalige Duitse keizer Wilhelm II wandelt met zijn vrouw Hermine en haar dochters over het besneeuwde landgoed bij Huis Doorn; we zien hen bij de slotbrug, de poort, in het bos, bij de orangerie en in het dorp bij de Rijksstraatweg. Prinses Henriëtte wordt gefilmd terwijl zij met een camera opnamen maakt van het keizerlijk echtpaar.

De opname dateert hoogstwaarschijnlijk van zondag 6 december 1925. De week ervoor was de vorst ingevallen en op maandag en woensdag waren er karrenvrachten met sneeuw gevallen. De 6e december was een rustige zonnige, maar ijskoude zondag.

The Kaiser, was not foolish. He loved to walk. It was good for him and for his family. The Germans introduced the concept of walking as a pastime and exercise. 👏🧐
