@@SCHappily I think my favorites are Mystic Angel and Silver Scrolls. Unfortunately they disappeared from my garden a couple years ago. :(

They did for a couple years but for about 2 years my job required a ton of time and my gardening time was very low. I think the Solomon's seal and oak leaf hydrangea overtook them.

Hi! Thanks for the video! I winter sowed heucheras in a coldframe (in a shady spot) in march this year and they took their time but started to come up in june. So, winter sowing outside is also possible with heucheras ☺️ I’m not sure how I’m going to protect them over winter as they are quite small still, but I’ll figure something out. Heucheras are lovely plants!!!

I put Irish spring soap shavings at the base of my hostas. Almost nothing fed off of them. I got all but one back for spring. I may have missed the one that got eaten.

If I missed this in the video, I apologize, but did the seeds need light to germinate and, if so, did you keep them under light until you potted them up?

The seeds are tiny so surface sow them and do not cover. I do believe they need light. I kept them under grow lights.

I have my lights on for about 14 hours or so. I try to simulate spring time conditions.

Heucheras are still doing well. Have quite a few potted up right now.

Somewhere around 14 to 21 days they should be germinating.

Maybe about 8 to 10 weeks for a small sized plant.
