It never ceases to amaze me how some people will criticise and go over the top about the slightest little thing. The amount of people saying it's ruined online, you'd think that Alton Towers had completely changed the whole thing! It's some LIGHTING they're complaining about?! I'm not the biggest HEX fan, I find the rotating room rides a bit corny, but it'll be nice to get back on it again (once it's repaired!) Keep up the good work fella😃

Thank you for a balanced approach to your review. Some moaned about the Curse, but about 85-90% of people think it's way ahead of Duel. If the park is to go forward, it needs supporters not whiners. Thanks for giving such a positive review.

I still remember riding it on opening year back in day and just seeing it as a spruced up haunted swing ride like at morecambe frontierland lol

Sadly, it had broken down and was shut again when we visited yesterday (Monday 14th), so will need to defer my opinion until another time. Apparently it's going to be open on Tuesday 15th though, so fingers crossed for anyone visiting later in the week.

The ride is supposed to be reopening today so fingers crossed that happens and you're able to enjoy a ride :-)

@@TPIOfficial It was a shame to miss it, but I was happy to be able to finally ride Nemesis Sub-terra, which I'd missed on every single visit I've done since it first opened. No, it's not the most amazing ride ever, but I've ticked the box and this made me happy! For the first time in 30 years, however, my favourite-ride-in-the-park accolade has changed from Nemesis to...Wicker Man at night. Absolutely astonishing and I could see why there was still a 30 minute queue after-dark when every other ride was walk-on. An incredible experience. If I had one grumble to make (well, apart from the weird 45 minute delay to get into Compound, when the other scare mazes were walk-on) it would be to lament the demise of the Nemesis front-row queue. This is the one ride in the park where it *really* matters and it was always worth the extra 20 minute wait, but now it's just a bit of a lottery as to whether you get it or not. I didn't, but my son did...twice, in the dark! We're still arguing about which ride makes for the better night ride, even the day after ;-)

they've ruined it, just fix the vekoma madhouse drum system and then turn down the lighting closer to its original style.

We really enjoyed it's new look, although yes, there is a bit too much light ngl 👍🏻
