YES! I did recognize that soundtrack! I was in Disneyland on the ride in 1965. I thought that sounded very familiar. Such a creative build, super job! I just found these models while looking for tall ship models on ebay in December this year, 2020. But, alas, all but the Hex Marks the Spot were still to be found. It was my favorite one that I built in '72, and I played with it until the knife broke 🤣 Maybe I should have wound the rubber band so that it raised the door when activated. I thought that was why his left arm was raised, to push the door open. Super techniques on the build, thanks for showing it.

Amazing build! Did you know this is a re-issue of 1970s MPC Disney branded model, for the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at the Disney theme parks? This model scene recreates the skeleton pirate helmsman scene on the ride (minus the "pop-up pirate"). The special medallion in this kit is modeled after the Disney talking Jolly Roger at the Disneyland version of the ride.

the skeleton in the hatch, his raised arm use to push the lid up in the old kit when you hit the button, he sprang up pushing the hatch open and stabbed the map didn't he?
@TrekWorks7 жыл бұрын
It may have worked that way on the original kit but on this one the lid is too heavy for the figure to lift it.

I love how you did this...I have no idea how to do the lightning effects but I love it! That lantern too...maybe if the door were made of balsa wood the skeleton could lift it
