It's winter and cold here and I need another blanket for the bed - I think this will just perfect! Oh and I might also start a hand sewn one too, what do you think - yes or no?

I love this! I have a friend having a baby and I wanted to make her a bee themed quilt. So this is perfect!

Ooooo, crumb blocks for the center.....what a great idea. I've just started cutting out mine. I'm going to use scrap solids for the back and charm squares for the tops and all my scrap batting/wadding. Going to be 100% hand sewn.

I love the different shades of gray. Looks like a window pane. I just started doing this. I haven’t joined them together yet.
@CraftyRie4 ай бұрын
Will you join them by hand or use the sewing machine?

I am collecting fabrics now for a bed-sized quilt. I'll be doing the flower on the back, like yours. I like the crumb quilt version, too. !

I am currently making two one sew as you go hexagons medium one and a extra large one with the sewing machine I use my accuquilt go hexagon die cuts for the front and batting I cut about a 1 inch around a square larger for the back to do the flip and pin them around then zigzag around them to join them it's fun to do these never thought I would ever make one less two this was is more enjoyable for myself I couldn't see myself rotary cutting around templates !

Yes, cutting around the templates can be time consuming but I think it’d be awesome if you wanted to fussy cut the fabric.

What is the finished size of the hexagon at two widest points?
@CraftyRie4 ай бұрын
It depends in which hexagon templates you use.
@donnanelson91814 ай бұрын
@@CraftyRie obviously. I’m referring to the one you’re using in this video.

How do you add a border to finish the quilt?
@CraftyRie Жыл бұрын
The pieces are already finished so you could leave it as is. I was thinking of making half hexies to have a straighter edge though
@barbarajefferysings5 ай бұрын
You could make a bunch of hexes all the same color and join them around the outside to serve as a border.
