In the first game you could have pitched spirit with gates after summoning almiraj using DBB. Then summon spirit for full combo

The ruling of the second effect of Eternal Favorite is weird but basically Yugioh cards do not earn their face up status until after the flip up resolves.

That endymion player played really good. I think they did the best they could have. Yubel is just stronger rn I think. But you had to play it right too. So good work as always. I always enjoy your updates. Especially when you like the deck. You're enthusiasm is contagious

A lot of people built Yubel without a plan for actually dealing damage to an empty board, which is really easy for certain decks to exploit. It's really a good idea to have ways to put down things like Abomination and Accesscode to get around people who try to take advantage of empty boards. Some people use a Train setup to get some damage on the board when they have too many Level 10s on the field, but that's probably not necessary if you don't have the Extra Deck room. Gustav Max might still be worth it if you want to go all in on Burn though.

In the 23:30 match you said it was better if you had summoned og yubel instead of sp. I thought he was only interuption if you also had the trap does he also have a other eff that could be seen as interuption?

Best way to play yubel is still labrynth d/d unchained combo pile and using yubel as a suedo adventure package that can be recurred without bricks

When will people realise all this deck needs to do is open DBB + Lotus and end on 8 interruptions. Cut pain to 1, spirit to 2 and cut incarnate, slap in 3 piri rise map and u have 9 lotus and 12 DBB In the first game u can do a cool play, rather than making phantom, keep the spirit in hand and summon both DBB. Then while u have a legal target for opening to reborn, u pitch spirit for COST, so u can bring back spirit and set pain then shuffle back yubel in hand + 1 DBB to keep spirit in grave. Grab squirmer by popping spirit and continue. That’s how u use DBB + spirit. Really useful to know if u continue running spirit at 3, even tho I recommending cutting down on the bricky cards.

You absolutely do not cut incarnate lol, many lines involve yubel floating into it. And nightmare pain to 1 means that you lose in the grind game for no reason. Not to mention that piri reis is super cope and makes you die to droll

@@tidalfront2360 u can do the exact same lines without incarnate. The end board is always apo, rage + phantom which u don’t need incarnate to reach. Tbh ur not wrong about pain but u would rather just end the game by turn 3 than grind the game. Droll is barely being played too, and even if they do u end on Rage/Apo + phantom.

My build is the best..I play Beatrice and the Super Producer so even if u open with no Yubel starters u can dump Samsara and then u have full combo with the Knightmare Gryphon but u gotta play 2 garnets which sometimes suck

Naive third rate duelist here. Can somebody explain for me: What specific interaction does Almiraj do in the deck?

9 out of 10 times it's just there to make an easy Link-1 off any Normal Summon, usually to put something in the GY to use as material for something(whether it's for the Link monster itself on the field or the thing you put in the GY), and the rest of the time it's to get a negated low atk monster off the field so you're not left wide open(since it can tribute itself to both avoid being attacked and shut off destruction effects against a different thing on the field). As material it gets used for things like S:P and Fire/Link/ED/EMZ requirements(more relevant when on a variety of Super Poly targets), and the kind of things that get dumped are usually for the sake of cards like Invocation, Bystials and monsters with GY effects(Yubel can be run with Bystials and some things they use have GY effects). It's interesting to note that you can use Almiraj on any Normal Summoned Yubel monster since they all have 0 Atk, which can be used in some niche situations.

There are some really degenerate things you can do with yubel... For example, Iblee + gryphon lock and 5 other interactions. This is doable off of a single card. You can also make the same board iblee-less off of just darkness beckoning beast or spirit gates. These combo lines use Beatrice though and you'd need to also run shyama, spright elf and csb as well as super producer.

For the beatrice line to go into yubel combo, you basically climb up to the usual yama + sharvara then super producer to pop gates and use yama from gy to revive sharv and pop escape to get shyama then beatrice dump lotus and revive it with muckracker. Fiendlock means knightmare gryphon is the go to for that line and it also re-sets escape.

As for the iblee line, you weave in the super producer line in your yubel combo to beatrice dump iblee, link into elf, revive iblee and use it as link material to activate its effect. Elf also revives rage on opp's turn after using it as material on your own turn.

@@arey256 Gryphon is kind of the major endboard fiend you can make for the muckracker line and it re-sets escape which you need to pop to get into the beatrice. The Iblee line also benefits greatly from escape as you can use it to pop the normal summon so they don't go into a link-2 with iblee. Also, you'll need 2 yama. One for the extension to make beatrice and the other for the opponent's turn to bring back rage after you pop it with escape. Beatrice and super producer are unfortunately 100% necessary for those lines as of now to be consistent without opening specific extra cards, unless someone else cooked something that we have yet to find.
