The tutorial starts at 07:36! To me, the code Mimic uses for the connection with your phone seems like it could easily be a lot harder to guess, for example user name + six digit code or a six character code allowing letters and numbers. On PBE, not much can happen if someone can start games for you remotely, but I would not open the app on live servers. They state they have 300k+ installs - this means if all users were online at the same time and you type in any random number, you should have a roughly 30% chance of getting into some random account (if they mean unique installs). Obviously, far less will be online at the same time, but it's still a one in a million chance someone has with each guess to get your number. Use with care!

@@tommo4356 I just tested a bit, and yeah, the first time a device tries to connect, you need to confirm on PC. But it does not say anything about the device which wants to connect, so if somebody else tries roughly at the same time, it is hard to see if that device is yours or not. Also, for the recording, I cleared the allowed devices, which at least for me does not work correctly, I could just connect again without any confirmation on PC. That's why in the video you don't see any questions for confirmation. What also is a bit weird, that the code for the connection never changes, even when uninstalling and reinstalling Mimic it is still the same code.

Have you tested whether or not gold gain was client sided? I had my suspicions due to the client bug not giving you the gold back but I could never check because swarm would always crash after nocturne died

to be fair i would love to see the entire champion pool played in this mode,, after i watched this i was like yeah riot did it again, making something soo fun but yet only did it for what it feels like 20% finished.. Bard + normal Swarm champs sound kinda good in early game. He might get them to the first evolve faster than maybe a lv2~3 xp increase (instead of having Bard)

i try it with kogmaw and fliddesticks, kogmaw can still spam his R, the max damage you can do is 1k, but still not enough to be good, flidd is so fking useless, your get bugged, it get instacanceled and do anything to monster, but it work vs big boss, but still not good damage, i didnt try akshan, he can perma E, but the thing is, will he atack in his E???

What is improper about the data they are receiving? How would you suggest checking the data, what are you checking for, what is allowed and not allowed to be received?

@@greenad1993 The game mode is made to be played with specific champions. Only those champions should be playable. what is happening is the client will show you a list of champions to pick. However the server does not validate the champ you picked. Meaning that if you use something other than riot client you can pick any champion existing and the server will accept it. What they did improper is what is called trusting the client. As a dev you should never trust the client and always validate the data as otherwise the client has authority and thus cheaters etc can exploit it.

If you don't restrict what the users can input into your program in the best case you can end up with funny bugs or crashes. In the worst case you can create major security exploits because the users can inject their own code into your program. In this example the riot server lacks checks if someone asks for champions they shouldn't be allowed to ask. Normal champions just don't appear in the client but you can ask for picking them using external software and the server responds "sure why not"
