Honestly, I think it's silly to suggest that anyone but George played the lead guitar solo. While yes, it does sound a bit on the rough side, it just doesn't sound like John's brand of rough. Plus only George was using the Conqueror at the time; so its midrange-y tone combined with the attack of the humbuckers all point to George. Also, the action on the fretboard bears some similarity to George's solo on "Long Tall Sally". Think about it.

Thanks man yeah that looks like the guitar George is playing wow an i had an SG a real white one a reissue but a Gibson SG this is my new favorite song thanks for the lesson what great guitar work on this song an its classic John on vocals him having a fun time in a good mood just letting it all hang out and the changes are so dramatic...thats what i love theres nothing like a grear song but one with dramatic changes i mean just put int a few pauses in the right places helps so much then a tempo change....u can tell i been around here too long im still hoping they get back to...i heard they broke up or something like that naw don't believe everything u here....Just kidding nice i am getting an acoustic first I' want to learn this song an some Rubber Soul stuff ckassic rubber band sounds
