📒 The brass plates likely included much of what became the old testament up to that point albeit with some truths taught in a clearer fashion than what has come down to us. It certainly contained the words other prophets not in the Bible today, many of whom testified of Christ. God being made flesh and killed was not a popular idea back then (Abinadi was not well received). The text compares the spiritual knowledge the Nephites had through the brass plates to the loss of such things among the people of Mulek until the Nephites joined with the people of Zarahemla a couple hundred years later. Have you ever watched The Stick of Joseph KZbin channel? They have some great stuff regarding very interesting scholarship along these lines. Keep up the great work! ❤
