Exactly right. I've been dating a guy who never wants to make any decision and at first I was ok with it, but now it annoys me as hell. If I want to do anything with him I have to be the one to suggest it or plan it. He never takes any initiative but kinda like this guy, will just go along with whatever. And if I step back from any planning or stop inviting him to do things he complains that I never do anything with him. I just came to conclusion that he is the type of personality that likes to follow rather than take a lead and unfortunately, I can't stand that anymore. I am just tired of it. How can one put so much effort in a relationship but the other one just waits like a parked car for someone to get in and drive?

I get what she’s saying because my girl is the same. I’m easy going and I just let her handle stuff. It’s easier for me but being that she’s considerate then it will bother her because she thinks she’s being unfair having her way all the time and she just wants to do a little bit of what makes you happy. In reality im cool. I’m a simple man but she’s always asking stuff like “babe are you sure you want to go to this place even though you’re allergic to seafood, I feel bad, we should go to a place that you like” I’m like “yeah babe I’m good, they got like ONE chicken dish...I’ll get that, you like crab and lobster and shrimp so let’s go”. I get what she’s saying, some people feel happy making the other person happy rather being happy having their way all the time.

I have experienced a man like this and it is not a pleasant situation. I have an issue with this "happy wife, happy life" mentality. There are a few reasons why I have an issue with it. 1) God is supposed to be the first priority. God is the ONLY one who should be on that pedestal. Not me, not my husband, not even my kids, but God first. 2) "Happy wife, happy life" just feeds my pride. I can't grow and learn if I always think I'm right all the time. If anything, I learn from the negative consequences of thinking I'm right all the time. Yes, in the moment, when my man challenges me, it hurts my pride. But that's okay, because pride is a sin. I'm only human so I am wrong sometimes, just like my husband is wrong sometimes. But, in our humility, we stay teachable. And we grow from being challenged by God and by one another. 3) We're a team. We're a partnership. We should be making decisions together. When discussing a decision we need to make, he sometimes has insights that I don't have. Or I sometimes I have insights that he doesn't have. So, we work together. We come together in prayer and ask God for guidance, wisdom, and direction. We listen to one another and make decisions together as a team. Just like in a three-legged race, both people have to work together to get to the finish line. It doesn't work if only one person is doing all the work.
