If the world wasn't the way it is, maybe yes. However, the woman is African- American so I understand her concern. I'm a big sister and I have the same concerns as my younger brother is getting older and now he wants to wear his hair in a "big fro." He also wants a job, and guess what the first thing they told him when he got his first job a couple weeks ago was to cut his hair and he had to. Same with our dad he had dreadlocks, he also had the qualifications but the employers were not impressed with his dreadlocks. There is a stigma attached to our hair its texture, type, look, styles (dreadlocks, afro, cornrows etc...) on us in particular whether or not society chooses to acknowledge it, and its not right, but it is what is it.
