For reference, I painted a pair of vans entirely entirely green with just a bottle of mint and a bottle of 2-Soft, and I still have over half of the bottle of mint paint ???? This was multiple layers as well, I was s h o ok (yes the suede was sacrificed tho, no it was not my choice, the person they were for made me ;-; rip to that beautiful suede😭

As someone who is currently taking a course in graphic design, my advice would be to make 8-10 thumbnail designs, then combine your favorite ones and see how you feel. I recommend doing them in separate little boxes, on whatever medium you feel the most loose/free in. Thumbnails are meant to be kinda shit, cause it helps you be more free to design things without worrying about how nice it looks. Also, I like the cracking on the paint. I feel like it adds to the aesthetic.

@belenfmalvar738 ай бұрын
The cryptid biker vibes are as intense as the flames in that jacket and I'm all for it! That being said, I do get in way the feeling of not being able to express all you wanna do in one design. Sometimes compromise is the answer. Other times, is not being afraid to mix and match, to experiment even if in theory it sounds absurd. Reseaching the things you wanna make can also help. Like, moths and flames? You could make the wings have an abstract resemblence to flames, or make them straight out flames that make the shape of wings! That also counts as a fantasy creature. But all that said, it's a jouney, and we all have our times of learnings and unsterstanding. However, I do believe it to be worth it :)

Hi Kira, I’m a big fan of your videos and art. I don’t know if you’ll see this but an idea for you to make a garment filled with all of your styles/motifs/design ideas could be a patchwork cardigan, with each patch having something different on it! To make it more fun and eclectic, each square could be different colours and sizes and whatnot, that in the end you would puzzle together to make into a sweater/cardigan pattern. I saw this video last week of an artist doing this but for a blanket, and her followers actually sent in to her a patch they each made for her to add to it, so it ended up having completely unique sizes, colours, textures, patterns and symbols on each patch, but it came together beautifully. Here’s the video link to watch if it interests you: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5eziJhredR8b9Usi=WzO3BBtqGEQV7vsr But yeah. It doesn’t even need to be crochet if you don’t want to, you could do the same thing with like embroidered (or painted) fabric patches sewn/quilted together, or knitted patches or whatnot. The possibilities are endless and you would definitely end up with a really cool uniquely stylish garment showcasing all your favourite things!

Yo, I would love to see a series format if you think that might help with your planning problem. You could plan a piece in part one, kinda like your design vids, then make a part doing mock ups/iterations, then a part where you work on the final. It could be really rad to watch imo. And if it seems like it might help to focus more long term on one larger or more complicated project, maybe it could be cool!

When you said flames, eyeballs, & moths, my brain instantly pictured a moth emblazoned across the back of the jacket, with the ends of its wings turning to flames (probably the kind of moth that has those two long tails, so it can drip flames all the way down - maybe like lava), with it's false eyes replaced by realistic ones, peering through the flames. Possibly not really your style (definitely not mine!) But was a very fun image to picture, & would almost certainly work for someone!

For my personal aesthetic, I have found a way to merge together: hippie, witchy, vintage, punk, grunge, emo, and goth styles. I want to start incorporating clown-core into my wardrobe as well! They way I find that I'm able to do this is to stick to a minimal color palette, play with fabric/textile, mix-and-match silhouettes, decades, casual-wear & evening-wear, lengths, accessories, layers, etc. By combining a more victorian goth piece with a corporate goth piece, and layering some grunge elements, and punk accessories with a different style of shoe like maybe y2k wedges or masculine oxfords. It creates a unique visual and achieves a cohesive blend of my aesthetics! Hope this helps, or sparks some ideas!!

I bought some fabric paint last year so I could do this, like you it’s now finding the right outfits to do😹😹😹 Loved the flames not a fan of the eyes but that’s just me, I don’t even have any eye beads in my collection due to my aversion to them. I think it’s because I had an uncle as a child who had a glass eye and as a joke he would pop it out and just leave it in the oddest of places. Telling a 5 year old that the eye is a fake and cannot see is not the easiest of tasks back then.

@Kathleenillustrated is so amazing! Of course she would suggest earthly delights! More seriously, the way you have always portrayed a fearlessness in "combining" motifs and projects has absolutely inspired me to open my mind as to what art is and what I am capable of. I barely know what day it is, so an upload schedule doesn't mean as much to me as one of my fav creators feeling excited to make something. I would love to see you do whatever your heart desires, even if it is a dress with LED lights and an eyeball flame mushroom frog... hat.... sword.... thing. I used to think that I wasn't an artist because I was just a writer, but last night I make a polymer clay heart dude with a butt. And it's your fault. Thank you.

if you are looking to combine different parts like nature but also flame, consider changing shape. (would take more work, close to double but..) an idea could be like loose leaf like shape flames on it. and dont forget you can add or remove shapes from a garment aswell, sword like cut outs or moth wings in the pattern with visible thread for emphasis
