That outfit is BEAUTIFUL with that green skirt! For some reason it's giving me "Santa's soft-edgy adopted daughter who's a little quirky, but she's got the Spirit." I'm imagining a character in a Christmas adventure movie where she's like a sorta-magical guide who knows what she's doing and is competent/smart, but still needs help from the protagonists because she's still young and too in over her head to do it alone. You know what I mean? Like she could be in Christmas Chronicals 3 or something.

I LOVE how the colors and cozy lighting in the painting turned out!! It might’ve made things easier if you’d put a white layer of paint over the fabric first, and then drawn and painted color over that once it dried. I love that you included the executive producer throwing a tantrum 😂

The painting turned out so good!! Also as another artist that gets annoyed with painting on fabric, next time you could probably find a spray varnish or brushable one that creates a better canvas to paint on fabric, there probably is one out there if you look.

There's a decent in-mixable medium for fabric painting but varnish/ undercoat might be too heavy/stiff.

That you said canvas made it click, as I understand, one doesn't just paint on unprimed canvas? So a base layer of probably anything allowed to completely dry would be an improvement over painting wet fabric and expecting it not to keep getting wetter :)

As a huge fan of Krampus. Im glad tbh he didnt make it into your corset. The art you ended up with has a realy cozy nostalgic charm. Maybe Krampus could end up in his own project next year. Krampusnacht is December 5th. But i do adore how the corset turned out in the end.

After MatPat’s ugly Christmas sweater video I thought Kira would be great at making a spooky version because of those detailed moth boleros so I enjoyed the mention at the start. The corset is a lovely painting. The executive producer was channeling Grinch energy for both of you. Now I’m excited to continue my holiday crafting. I made festive outfits for my dolls so I can photograph it for a doll sized tree ornament as my next four Hudsonverse episodes are set in December. Their grinch attitudes will offset the festive decor.

I have a "Kitty Jail" for my black cat. I have his water in there and his litter box. It's my bathroom! This works well when I'm trying to bring things into my house. He escaped from the house 17 days ago and came back late that night. He picked up a headcold and was sneezing on me. He is so uncouth! I now have his cold and will be missing Christmas😢 The wee scunner! Merry Christmas and a Healthy New Year to us all! Love the Christmas corset! Ever so cool. Fun tip. Spray it with a thin layer of clear sealant before you start. It blocks the fabrics intense soaking habits. ✌🏻 love love love the goblin energy!

I'm in loveee❤ Quick tip for painting on fabric: cover the area you want to paint on with modge podge or glue. It fills the "holes" in the fabric therefore it won't seep through. I've done it and it works wonders, but handwash the items💙🦋

Amazing project! If you paint fabric with acrylic paint you can use fabric softener and mix it with the paint. The paint gets a lot thicker and will stay flexible.

I wanted to really make some special clothes for myself since a long time...your videos have inspired me to finally start with my own cake dress. Ugly Christmas garments conveniently lean towards maximalism, so whenever you can't choose what to add, you can just add it all! Krampus is still on there, camouflaged behind the holly. I like that paisley print and how the edges of the painted area were irregular, which helped tie the painting to the print.

Love it. Stomachers that you can swap out could transform any back lacing corset. Then you could mix and match or try out crazy designs and then only risk a bit of fabric. Love the concept and all your projects.

This Christmas picture is so pretty!!! So light and warm! I was skeptical when you said you would paint directly on this fabric, but the result turned out incredible! It looks like a embroidered tapestry corset and it's simply magical.

I feel you with the difficulty of painting on textured fabric. I've started painting any designs on a smooth fabric like cotton poplin, then appliquing that on to my final piece. Takes a little longer but I find it less frustrating

Spooky Christmas is best Christmas. the red dress with bats + the robe-coat from a bit ago is an AMAZING christmas look also the stuffie tree is goals - reminds me of when I had a tree in my room as a kid (it was covered in tiny little mice) For future reference: painting on a patterned fabric is a lot easier if you do a layer or two of white over the whole area you intend to decorate and let it dry completely to sorta prime it. Put a little lemon juice on the edge of any shelf you don't want your cat getting onto. Cats don't like the smell of citrus so they'll avoid it, and it smells nice to humans. It'll only last a week or two, but it does work. It probably works for keeping cat's out of other things too, but I worry about bleaching so I haven't tried it. Gosh, the corset is just beautiful. I find it harder to get excited about Christmas after growing up too. I find hanging out with my nieces and nephews helps a lot with my holiday cheer, but I also love being around kids. My method probably won't work for everyone. I think it's the shared feeling of joy and excitement that really matters.

My mom buys me and my brother a new ornament every year. I got a cute yellow gnome this year and he got black panther. I think that could be cool so you had a little tradition to look forward to each year! (Alternative plan: buy them after Christmas and put it away as a surprise for next year)

You could probably gesso the area you want to paint to give you a better surface to paint on. I think those things are just called coat tails 😁I like the glow it has, very lovely!

Tip for future, mix fabric softner into acrylic paint, it helps is not sink in the fabric so much and keeps it flexible. Leather paint also works well.

Love it!! You are so tallented. Apologies if this has already been suggested. If you paint a layer of matte medium on the fabric before you paint it, the fabric won't absorb the paint, and you (hopefully) won't be tearing your hair out trying to make it work.
