Which in that game she meets Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy for the first time as she escapes with them from Raccoon City During the T Virus Outbreak. Sherry really deserves to be the sole protagonist in a game or CGI. She’s a great character and imo has the most tragic backstory in the series. Wasn’t to fond of her playing second fiddle to a brand new character in RE6. Certainly didn’t help that I loathe the whole long running villain suddenly has a long lost child cliche.

The reason why I love Claire is that she is badass without looking “tough”. She cares for people and while being scared and not a trained soldier, she will still put herself in danger to save others. Sherry greatly symbolise her willingness to risk her life for others.

She is a very underutilized protagonist. I want her to meet Rose Winter. They may not have the same early life, but they were isolated due to their genetic powers, making them meta humans or mutants. Sherry could’ve help mentor Rose and be that friend Rose needed. Also, due to their powers, they’ll be alive for a long time, longer than Chris, Claire or Leon.

I know everyone hates on RE6 but I really enjoy playing as Sherry and Jake. Sherry has this moral campess and you can just tell that her and Jake's characters play off each very well. Well it is indeed iconic that after what their fathers did. But it show that good things can happen from bad events. Even through it might not get to see Jake Muller again because of the sells of RE6 I hope his blood and Sherry indeed save the world and stop the C virus.

It was an utterly apocalyptic night, even before the nuke. It's a miricle anyone survived let alone six people. Honestly, I would have loved to see a Hunk (the Sixth Survivor) Sherry team up in RE:6, now I havr to look up what happened to the umbrella operative haha.

Annette may have been a neglectful mother, however at least she was attempting to prevent the deaths of millions. That's a heartbreaking decision for any one, let alone a parent. Regardless of how neglectful she seemed due to focusing on her work, she is still her mother and it would still be a horrendously difficult choice to make.

Sherry birkin along with claire jill ada and rebecca is one of top five favorite female characters in the RE universe. Sherry is a prefect example of character development going from a scared little girl in re2 and growing up to be tough hot heroine with a regeneration power in re6 that possibly made her immortal was very interesting but tragically game makers never really explored so it didn't really go anywhere. I would've like the happy re2 ending where sherry lives with claire but sadly not to be. On another note sherry should have her own game instead of making her jake's sidekick.

Be dope if we got a girl squad cast for a game; Claire, Sherry, and Rebecca teaming up. Doesn't even sound that farfetched, Rebecca could be working with TerraSave as a virologist trying to cure a specific strain, government gets wind of a terrorist plot and sends Sherry in as protective detail...and all three of them are competent and excell in an outbreak situation. I'd be excited if it ever got announced.

Interesting fact in one of the scrapped storylines of RE 4 Leon was supposed to being to Europe to rescue sherry because she was taken by weaker, as told in the Wesker report audios and that it would have been the first time Leon met wesker. Okay. This might get long, but something has occurred to me. So Resident Evil has aged our old favorites in tandem with each entry, (not counting retellings and remakes) now I don't know much about what RE9 will be about, but Chris would've been in his late 40s in RE8. Now if a grown-up Rose will play a role in RE9, that means at least 16-20 years after RE8. What I'm saying is that Chris, Jill, Leon, and Claire are soon eligible to collect social security, which means physically they may not be viable hands on characters anymore. You can't write them out completely, but it makes sense for the legacy characters like Sherry, Jake, and Rose to now step in to take up the fight. Now that brings us to remakes. RE2 and RE3 remakes kept the story and our beloved original characters recognizable with some tweaks to how events played out, which leads me to think that RE is exploring a multiverse or alternate timeline in order to keep the original characters relevant. I thought it was odd that in RE2 remake Marvin made no mention of the mansion incident, which felt like a total disconnect between RE1 and RE2, but we know the mansion events did happen because Jill has PTSD and a grudge against Umbrella in 3make, plus Nemesis is trying to eliminate her and Brad. I can't believe Marvin wouldn't have known anything about the mansion. But the slight variations in events does give the possibility of a multiverse legs. I mean I don't know of any other way to keep our old favorites involved as we're moving towards RE9 except through remakes being made to keep our original characters young and relevant.

@@captaintony1227 I still wonder at what point Chris, Leon and the others will be considered "too old" because they do age like normal humans. Nobody (including me) wants to see our old favorites age out, but since Resident Evil has made them older with each entry, sooner or later they might have to pass the torch to the legacy characters like Sherry, and Jake in the progressing timeline. I don't think I mind the idea of the remakes of the old games taking place in a multiverse. That way we can have our cake and eat it too.

Id like to see the same people we all love doing things that happened in between major numbered games. As much as I like the reboots they're not as good as the originals so it would be nice to get new content that is from the past.

Good video and nice synopsis. Now on to what I think. Happy endings rarely happen in real life. Expecting some fairies and rainbows in an apocalyptic setting is not only naive, it is foolhardy. Thinking any government would allow sherry to be free knowing what she carries in her and how she/it could be used by and for nefarious purposes, is again naive. The minute she was infected her life was always going to be a struggle. Yes I hope they all eventually get some sort of good(not necessarily a happy) ending. The reason I started played these games is for the zombies and as I grew older playing them, I started noticing all the implications about government and human nature, which in turn had me more inthralled with with the series. Oh(to those thinking she was a sidekick or secondary character) Sherry was never a sidekick and to distill her character to such a view negates all she went through and how she grew to become who she is. Just because she was not the only protagonist of the story does not infact relegate her to sidekick position. It does however imply that she like all humans do at times need help with something she is not able to do by herself alone. Remember every RE game is a team game. Humans need eachother to become more than what we are alone.

Never thought that she was that significant in the franchise. It wasn't til 2 years ago that it was the Same sherry from RE2 when I first played RE6. I did a full marathon of all the games and that's where I made the connection 😅

I don't really have much problem with the epilouge of RE3 about Leon, Claire and Sherry. Claire need to find her brother, so bringing Sherry to Europe with Umbrella there would be dangerous. Leon doesn't really need to go somewhere dangerous after that, and he's the policeman, so it's more logical to leave Sherry to Leon.

Sherry is awesome and i really loved the chemistry between Jake. We ve gotten Shiva and Chris, Leon and Helena, Leon and Ashley and none of them compares to how well Jake and Sherry compliment each other so well. NGL I will put Shiva as 2nd because she was also very cool

Although RE six wasn't as great like the others....I love how most of are stars met together in it....Leon met Chris,.. Chris met Wesker son he and Leon,....Ada and so on. I'm looking for a RE game call (resident evil reunion) where all the stars meet up at once, that will be great....they all must track down and call up each other to meet.... because the are the best having lots of experiences with this out break crisis.

That's a great question, I would say most likely not a full remake of the game. Maybe they will have a small DLC or more references to that version, similar to what we got from RE2 Remake and the Elza Costume for Claire.

15:10 so personally i have to rewrite like 60% of the story in the games to actually make sense, this bit has some kind of government agency pick them up in my head canon and this causes them to get split up with Clair trying to get to see Sherry but not been aloud to for BS reasons (its actually because of the messed up DNA she has that the government refuse to let anyone see her) later after all the key players have become linked with people in positions of power they get to pull some strings behind the scenes (this is why Sherry doesn't end up dissected in some government lab which was where she would have ended)
