I just got this in the mail yesterday. I bought it with the cover and battery. If you’re going to buy it without the battery, I would recommend just buy the battery with the charger.

Now that bbq pit stop is gone where do you get your pellets and which brand do you prefer?

@@double-a83I have the prime 1500. Everything is great with a few exceptions. Cons: -Battery drains about 20-30% when left in during a 24hr period. -The app is unusable to me because the login password box only accepts passwords shorter than 20 Characters. -The fan blows a lot of ashes underneath the grill plate. -I had the fan replaced because grease may have dripped its way to the fan. The fire possible reached it and caused the fan to melt. -if you want more smoke/flavor, you have to prime it often by holding the main button set on prime. Pros: - Cooks very evenly. - Very spacious. I think I can smoke 4 spatchcock 20lb turkeys. -The side tables fold up which makes loading it into a flad bed super easy with a helping hand. -Battery powered. Not having to use propane is great when lugging it around. -Battery life is as advertised. Get about 15-20 hrs depending if you keep your hopper full. (If its full all the time, it will vibrate less to move pellets into the auger) -if repairs are necessary, its very simple to replace parts. The internal design is super simple. - the sear plate is questionable, but when open all the way, its a flamethrower. If you got any other questions. I'll be happy to answer them for ya.

Can you charge your phone with that battery? And, how does it cook??

I asked them about that a while back and they said they were working on a solution to power external devices with the battery pack! It cooks great! There is a little hotspot in the middle but it's not terrible.

How well does it maintain cooking temp?
@Heygrillhey

It takes a while to get up to temp but it stays there pretty well once it does.

Hands down this little guy blows GMG out of the water, in terms of comp the only thing that stands up to this one is the grilla portable.

If I had this grill, as a camper, I’d just get an adapter and run it off my camper battery, or a portable artery pack. But at that price point, I’d go for a GMG Trek.
