First of all, Congratulations Secondly, I hate to point out the obvious and I truly am happy for u, but you guys aren't married yet. What happens if u get into a fight? Or u break up, it will be a very messy custody arrangement that could ruin the childs emotional attachment. To anyone reading this you should wait until marriage, I'm not being traditional or old fashioned, but once you're married, you already made the commitment to stay with that person for the rest of your life and raising children becomes a lot easier. Other than that, this journey should be interesting.

Yes! With our first child it was unexpected and we were both kinda overwhelmed. My husband didn’t have the “perfect” reaction either but he’s an absolutely amazing father and LOVES being a father.

Exactly. My husband and I was TTC for 2 years before I fell pregnant. When I finally got that positive test was I excited? No, I was like WHAT THE FUCK aha. My husband tried to keep my expectations realistic after so long trying it was such a shock to get that positive and neither of us believed it until my first scan at 12 weeks. Then I was excited, then not, over and over and even now at 37 weeks I'm like is this for real? And also thinking I can't wait for her to be here. Everyone reacts differently.

LaMar we are on baby number 3 and my husband hasn’t looked overly excited for any of them... so I never recovered his reactions because I knew how he would look lol but he’s the greatest dad to our littles. He just isn’t a very emotional person initially.

My boyfriend is the exact same. Very direct and does not sugercoat things. When i found out i was pregnant he asked: "how?" 🙈 It even took him a few weeks after the birth to connect with his son. He is a great dad and he is in love with our son. You guys will be absolutely fine. He does not have to jump up and down with joy to love his kid.

I remember the first time I found out my wife was pregnant. It seemed like 50 thousand thoughts crashed down on me. Am i ready for this? Will I be a good father? Am I on the right corse? Do I have to put aside my aspirations. Do we have medical insurance? Were will we be in 9 months? We’re going to have to change doctors. Will I pass along any of my bad traits. Will the stuff I was expose to mess up the baby? Ladies, we are thankful but the world seems to bombard the mind of a male with everything he has to solve all at once the moment we find out. .

For a week I was really confused and my boyfriend panicked. We’ve been together for 7 years. After a week he talked to his brother who’s got to kids. After that everything changed and now we are both really excited!

I’m someone who doesn’t show emotion very well. If I were to suddenly find out I was going to have a kid, I would react the same way he did. I would be so happy especially after I processed it but my mind would be going crazy with so many thoughts and you wouldn’t see my excitement until later.

She had two miscarriages before this. He was probably scared. Scared to lose another baby, scared of having to see his girlfriend devastated again, and scared of any complications. Plus, having a baby is a lot. It's life changing. He's allowed to be a bit shocked. It doesn't mean he's not happy. They now have a 1 year old daughter and they are very much thrilled. This is why no one should assume. It's an eight minute video. You don't know the fu story.

I told my husband immediately and woke him up from sleep to do so. He already knew I was worried ab being pregnant so he just looked at me like "oh jeez" and went back to sleep😂 Honestly it was the response I needed. I took a bath, called my Granny and some Christian girlfriends, and calmed down bc I was freeeaaaking oooouuut. Everyone responds differently and unless the father is showing cruelty to mama, I think all reactions are fine!
