Director Asif Kapadia Interview - 'Amy' (Amy Winehouse Documentary)

Stefan Pape from HeyUGuys interviews Director Asif Kapadia for his new documentary based on the life of Amy Winehouse. The documentary is called Amy. Kapadia previously directed the documentary 'Senna' based on the life of Ayrton Senna.

Hats off to Mr. Kapadia and his team for this wonderful film. I think what they have done for Amy is a beautiful thing. Finally people will know what an extraordinary and lovely person Amy Winehouse really was. I laughed, I cried, I gasped, I turned away and I left the movie theater emotionally exhausted. Thank you for this superb documentary.

I lay my hands down to this Director he got the nearest to the truth ,I am.a relative of Amy and the reason why Mitch Winehouse did not like the film and was up in arms Because it was the truth and Unfortunately the Winehouse's hate the truth Asif you did a fantastic Job on this Film ..Bless

people say its a blame game movie sad amy wouldnt have liked this,she probably wouldnt want a movie at all ,honest how can it be when its just a very few people amy knew interviewed and most of that i would take with a grain of salt,and this man never met amy ,i have the same problem in my family people saying my parents or myself or my brothers didnt do enough or care off in our own worlds etc.... but really all the people that critise her family where the hell were you ,like her friend tyler ,you were her frinend along time why, because you never confronted her so maybe this guy should blame him ,amys parents didnt live with her ,but no you cant blame anybody ,it life what you make for yourself like amy did ,ive seen enough on utube to piece amys life together with some woman insite on top dont need to see a thrown together movie and i will see all the vidies on utube eventually .r.i.p.amy winehouse singer!

I think they framed the film in a way that makes the family look like villains to sell tickets. Anyone who has had a family member addicted to meth and all the years and years of turmoil that the family are forced to go through will know that this is not fair and its easy for people looking in from the outside to judge.
