I've been using the A58's on bass (18v active preamp) for my last couple services and they've been absolutely flawless. The active mode is not a gimmick, it works incredibly well. PRS Gary Grainger > A58 > Helix Floor > FOH

I also use the nux unit and have been super impressed! It's hard to go back to normal cables.

I'm fully wireless weekly on stage and at home (IEM's - Senn G4, and Bass Guitar - Senn EW-D Cl1). I'm obsessed with cable management... I like a clean, cable free area on stage and at home. It's nice not being limited on stage, and be able to walk in front of FOH... or play in any room in the house or the backyard. I use a 3U shallow rack for my wireless systems for a crazy reason. I include a 1U rack mixer that I use with my wireless systems... also to input my mix bus channel from the digital stage box for my personal stereo IEM mix, and the crazy reason... I output my bass and kick to a sub amp in the rack into my transducer bassboard. Bassist gotta feel the bass on a silent stage... haha... like playing on a loud stage at lower volume. The immersion is worth carrying the extra gear every week.

Thanks for a great review. Did you prefer it to the one you were using? Can you give an update on any issues after using a while? Is the battery replaceable? Did you notice if it lowered any of the output of the guitar with distortion?

I'm wireless. Looking for a better system due to interference.

What do you currently use?

It's a cheaper set, I don't even remember the brand. It works great at home, but when I'm at church, there are other wireless devices that are interfering.

I found that a roomfull of cheap wireless systems is a crap shoot. Everyone is at risk of unstable operation. So if you plan to play in a room full of wireless stuff, you will need an expensive wireless system with many channels to avoid getting bumped off by another system. Or just use cables like I do. 🙂

@@JohnShalamskas Yeah I found that out. That is why I'm looking for a better system. Really doing my homework with the next one.

@@benjaminbrown4684 If you use a fuzz face style of fuzz pedal, it will not work well with wireless between the guitar and the pedal. It is the same thing as using a buffer in front of the fuzz. Early fuzz pedals need to see the complex pickup impedance, it's part of the gain circuit. Newer designs use some form of input buffer and are not sensitive to input impedance.

How’s this one go on bass? I have a similar Joyo one and it’s just not there on bass.
