Kinda like the aesthetics of gundams now days. They have the superhero body look to it. Also as an HG to go with the asthetics. It has enough blank areas for detail customizations such as scratch build and scribing without needing to put on any kitbashing. Also starting to like Ground type or close combat style mobile suits since they dont go backpack heavy for more mobility.

Well generally saying for all gunpla. Riders, Doms, Goufs and Zakus as well. Their all getting that Superman treatment. Small waist, broad shoulders and chest.

Out of all the current Riders, this one is my favorite. IMO it's much more fun to pose around compare to White Rider. Also for the nub marks I just dab them a little bit with the pour type marker.

Not really about the kit but in all honesty i really do appreciate how you have changed your review style in the sense of being more understanding that not all HG can be god level kits and give them quite a proper review on the kit itself than just bash on it even if its not the best one out there as someone who customs more then just builds its really nice hearing reviews about the kits positive and negative points cause it feels like an actual review of the models (and it makes its easier to know if it can be used in other ways). i hope to see more of your vids and get to hear more of these neutral.

Man this was the first kit where I felt I had to paint the color inaccuracy and thanks to this kit I’ve started doing that on a ton of my HG. Love the kit tho still despite the stickers it requires.

no lie, if you use something solid/hard like your finger nail and press the sticker decals down, a fair bit of adhesive can squish out and they look much more transparent, the decals look substantially better, youll never get rid of the edge, but it looks 1000 times better.

I was actually planning to get this but after watching the review, I decided not to, especially that it is a P-Bandai, so it's gonna be more expensive due to ridiculous resell mark-ups. I guess I would buy this if it was cheaper. The lack of part/color separation simply doesn't justify paying more for it. It's a cool looking kit but as for me who doesn't have all of the money in the world, I gotta be smart with my spendin, so I wouldn't pay more than its original suggested price. It's still understandable for people who really are fans of the Rider line since it's more gratifying for them, I guess. Anyway, thanks, my guy, you save me once again from impulsive purchases 😂

The red,black and white riders are all prototypes to collect data to further improve the pale rider system and considering where code fairy takes place in the gundam timeline.this suit along with the white and red rider came before the pale rider suits making the pale rider the successor to the 3 suits or at least between the info on gundam wiki and code fairy says about the three suits so I might be wrong but that's all I can find on them before any of the three finally got a model kit P.S. thank you bandai for finally giving us the rail gun in model kit form cause from what I could find, this is the only kit to offer it so if you want to make the armored GM variant that's uses the rail gun like in gundam battle operation 2 your gonna have to get this kit

While kit is stickers galore, Bandai managed to finally put decent polycaps batch into BlackRider box. It is rock solid and does not suffer from limp wrist syndrome. But yeah. Stickers.

Definitely needs some love and extra effort to look good. That dark plastic is very plasticky and the high amount of stickers is rather jarring, but then you remember this is based on a 2014 kit. Otherwise I really like the design.

Hey Mecha! Did you know that the included Rail Cannon is *6 years* older than the HGUC Pale Rider Land Type!? It was first featured in the older RX-79G Ground war set from UC Hardgraph. Fuck you bandai for not only repeatedly making pale riders sticker hell, but also using weapons from nearly two decades ago!

The color inaccuracy on the ears and daggers are excusable because it is 1/144 scale, the parts would be tiny and loose otherwise as and hgs are meant to be simple so it is fine in my book. The bazooka has no excuse though.

Maybe the rabbit ears are excusable (like HG V Hexa) but the blades are not. The HG Age 1 Spallow had the shiguru blade made of two pieces. Sure, the blade had a couple of stickers to make it green but at least it is easier to paint. Sometimes Bandai makes weird decisions from time to time.

I'll always come back to your gunpla review for your excellent editing and presentation, but it always turns me off when you moan about color inaccuracy on HGs. After all, these are small scale models, and the amount of effort design team at Bandai put into them is variable and highly secretive. High Grades have been the de facto entry point for gunpla for decades, and while they are getting better on average, just because they can get as good as the L'frith or the Moon Gundam doesn't mean they will always be at that level. Also, with other pbandai kits you've reviewed being not as up to standard, I thought you'd be wise by now to the fact that 'Premium' bandai doesn't always mean that. It's basically just limited or harder to get.
