Wow. Great stuff!! The Jeter and Kirby labels are awesome. Rusty's psychedelic label on bill bates is pretty cool too. I'd be happy with any of those cards. Keep grinding fellas!

They really dinged you on your corners; which appeared fine, what I could see. Want to send a couple to get Horizontal slabbed. Probably be skeptical about sending anything before the 90s?

Hey Matt, the dates are in the video but these were there for about 6 months. HGA has since caught up on their backlog and are now offering a guarantee on their posted turnaround times.

Too bad about Hank and Murph. Hopefully SGC will grade them. I think they mixed up the grades on corners and centering on that McGwire.

I will say I’ve got the 4player Dawson rc from same year as D Murph. Positive it’s legit, But wouldn’t fit appropriately in a one touch! Too Big by a SMIDGE!!! Haven’t tried grading it for that reason

Nice reveal guys. Not so sure about HGA and their grading standards; the Puckett for instance, even if they goofed that’s inexcusable. At least I feel I can trust a grade I get with SGC - would I like sub grades so that I can better understand why it got the grade it did? Sure, but also expect the super fast turnaround times to get pushed back and orders to take longer. So it all depends on what’s more valuable, speed or having us grades. I guess it’s all subjective anyway in the end.

The problem with HGA is some of the grades are not "subjective." They use algorithms to calculate some of the grades, especially centering. HGA is mainly "objective" grading with their programming, and it is getting bad right now with some of the reveals I have seen and my own personal experience. Cards with high gloss get good corner/edge grades. Older cards get horrible corner/edge grades because the algorithms don't work for the different manufacturing of older Topps cards. Subgrades are great if they are accurate, but this just shows HGA can't be trusted with grading cards. They are a nice-looking custom slab company at this point until they can prove they can grade cards correctly.

HGA is grading cards horribly right now. Cards from the 70's and 80's they are giving insanely low grades on corners/edges. The centering algorithm they use doesn't account for tilt of the cards. Computer assisted grading for HGA is worse than GMA right now. They also love to give the N-1 instead of the N-6. They do this for minimize sized cards so they can still get their grading fees. I submitted cards that PSA said was minimum sized and they returned without charging grading. HGA said the same cards were "trimmed" and refused to refund my grading fees. HGA has nice labels when they actually do the color match correctly. Sometimes the choices for the colors are just bizarre. They can't be trusted for grading right now as you can see from their subgrades.

I wouldnt send to this company anymore. The puckett with a 9 for centering and the mattingly with a 6.5 for corners? they clearly have no idea what they are doing and probably wont be adding much value to your cards.

Damn HGA took waaaaay to long. Before and after backgrounds are crazy different. SGA all the way and that rhymed. I should call then and make that the motto. Shame on HGA for not grading the Aaron and Murphy. Boooo

Hey. ACD, thanks for checking out the video. We just put the prices on there as a reference for people to have an idea of what each card could be worth. Not trying to say these cards are worth more or less than that. SMR is a free price guide so we use it.

The Kirby label was neat. Everytime I hear something getting slabbed, I think of Han Solo getting encased in Carbonite. Yes, I'm a Star Wars nerd. 😂
