Oh I am with Tarek in so far as adopting his stances on : IF IT IS NOT BROKEN, THEN DON'T FIX IT. And here is what I want each and every interior designer, renovator builder, staging designer, switch it out, complete gut job, overhaul overhaul , modernize modernize to really think about, take on, and give some consideration to : You can apply the contemporary, current and modern justification reasonings to spend ridiculous amounts of money applying the "complete gut jobs" but just keep in mind, that it is only going to be a matter of TIME, when the following generation of workers in the same lines of certifications and or "do it yourself" arenas, who are going to walk through the homes you have over hauled, and express : ewwwwww, throwbacks from the 2020s ? ? ? Are you kidding me ? It's outdated, it needs modernisation, it needs a complete gut job etc etc and rip apart all of the work, this generation done, based on exactly the same justifications. So IF everyone from today's generation (who is going to be a senior citizen when this happens) is perfectly fine with that being the narrative and scripting for this to be the case, then keep going with the status quo. IF you are someone, who is not okay with someone coming along and applying the same reasons with your "designs" today, to demolish in the future, then perhaps take on more of what Tarek is suggesting and show some restraint ! Because bear in mind too, not everyone has the cash to splash, just in order to keep someone's EGO happy ! So I am with Tarek on this one , in that ; IF IT IS NOT BROKEN THEN WORK WITH IT. 😂😂😎😉

Oh yes people here in America buy hoarder homes to flip all the time. Who knows why it could have been a death or nasty renters it's just a combo of things. This house wasn't bad with the left over stuff.

Maybe their marriage didn't work out because he treated her like an idiot. I notice she eats up whatever he dishes out. I like that in this episode she stood her ground. I would never allow a man to belittle me--a professional in my own right-. I don't argue. I just state my case and allow for discussion without interrupting or raising my voice. Granite work tops are hard wearing & always stylish, why would they replace them & keep the awful cupboards? The back splash would have looked amazing with the original granite too.They always want light coloured marble or quartz which stains easily & is so overdone. They need to stop creating the same style house in every single location. They need a style overhaul, it’s getting boring now!

I would normally agree eith you but that polka dotted granite was really ugly and dated.. some people would be fine with it but for the most part it would have turned people away. Kitchens are important. They sell houses. If the granite had been a solid black or even with veining I think it would have made sense to keep them. I actually think they made a mistake by using such light countertops in this. Dark counters would have really popped
