On my flat black enamel painted 1/48 P47 Propeller, these stencils performed flawlessly! Haven't tried them on the Acrylics yet. I plan to stop using acrylics and go to lacquer, and my enamels. I am so impressed with this product I would invest in Stocks in this Company! I would stand behind all production efforts for the company HGW to increase and develop their Wet Transfers product line! If you ask me, this by all rights should be one of the greatest model products to come out in years!

These transfers have practically ruined my 1/32 Tamiya Corsair model that was nearing completion after months of work and I was so happy with. ☹️ HGW large number transfers got ripped and pulled apart when removing the clear transfer film after the recommend drying time, leaving pieces of transfer I was not able to remove so I had to mask the edges of what remained of the transfer and paint white numbering in their place. I asked HGW for help over email on removal of stencils and received no response. I will go back to using quality decals printed by Cartograph, those have nearly imperceptible carrier film anyways.

Great video thank you. Question: can these wet transfers be used on uneven surfaces eg if there is a bump on the wing because of gun cover hinge etc? Do you have to use something like Mr Mark Softer on the transfer to get it to 'suck down' on the surface before it dries like a traditional decal? Thanks again.

I tested your transfers on the propeller blades of my 1/32 Corsair and two of three small logos splintered tiny pieces. The one that worked right looks great, but I will have to respray the prop since the broken ones can’t be removed. I really want to try the rest of them on my model but I’m hesitant until I can learn why they failed the way they did, and how best to remove them if they do. HGW Models, can you please comment?

Hello Adam, we're sorry to hear you've had difficulty in using our Wet Transfers. It's really almost impossible to estimate what could happen but I can assure you that this is not usual way how our transfers behave. The best way how to remove remnants is using GSI "C" thinner but be aware that this is going to remove paint as well. If you like we can send you another sheet of the decals with this damaged design. Please contact us via info@hgwmodels.cz and we'll agreed on details. I am sorry again for caused inconvenience. All the best Martin

I just recently purchased 3 different rivet sets from you and right off the bat they didn't work. I cut out a strip of rivets, placed them in the water, and they wouldn't separate from the paper backing at all. The only thing that did move was the actual individual rivets started floating on the residual water on the decal strip. Truly disappointing.

Maybe don't give up on this product. Watch 1/48 Tamiya P-38 Doogies Models. He had nearly perfect results with these rivets. He was impressed. I also. When I did my P-47 Prop, it was painted in flat black enamel. No clearcoat, but I followed the part on instructions to use 6000 grit color sanding. I used old bottle of Walthers Decal setting solution, of which has ruined some kit decals at times. This Prop came out so well that it eased my mind from all the problems I have had spraying Acrylics on this T Bolt's fuselage and wings. Next I'll try these on the acrylics, and may use HGW's recommended setting solution.
