The fairly long discussion about KZbin Rewind made me have to go FIND it on KZbin. It was not on the Trending page and it did not show up in my suggestions. So I watched half and couldn't go on. But then Grey mentioned Primitive Technology doing the end credits. So I went to watch that. I then looked at the credits of who all was included this year and I literally only watch three of the channels. I didn't even know Will Smith was on KZbin. Thank you guys for all the Hello Internet. I hope you have a safe and happy holidays. I also highly recommend the other Grey/Brady podcasts: Cortex, Unmade and Numberphile they are all wonderful.

Okay, the one thing I will say in defence of KZbin Rewind, the melting lipsticks bit wasn't a nod to getting women in science, it was a reference to a few viral videos done by that female KZbinr who does melting lipstick videos (Safiya Nygaard). She's gotten millions of views for melting lipstick videos, so they put her in there. It was a bit random, but in that case, I don't think it was meant to be condescending to women.
@millie-vs1ku6 жыл бұрын
@Omar G I get that. I don't feel like they had the idea that Grey and Brady are talking about here ("let's put it in to make science appealing to women!"), but they just kinda shoehorned it in with the actual science KZbinrs. Yeah, I don't think the context makes the video any better, but, hey, context. :)

I haven't watched the KZbin Rewind, but listening to you guys describe it, I can't help but wonder: Who is KZbin Rewind actually made for? Is it maybe more an ad for people who're not into KZbin yet? Maybe they're trying to get our parents in, that remember Will Smith and think "I know that guy! He made such good movies I love! Can I watch him on the KZbins? What time is he on the KZbins?"

Ear Pods are designed to be lost. They're tiny and wireless, and Apple hopes you'll lose them. You're going to need them again because they don't give you the option for wired headphones. Apple knows their customers are sheep and don't know about other brands or options. They know you're going to spend your disposable income buying your 7th set of Ear Pods, and lose those too. Very brave.

Nicolás Torchia he shouted out nazi youtuber, and he gained around 50.000 subs because of it. He also keeps promoting Ben Shapiro, Stefan Molenyx, Jordan Peterson. He defended nazi charity stream. Honestly I can only remember his most recent oopises.
@torchianicolas6 жыл бұрын
Maksim Makso oh, I see, so it kinda makes sense that he wasn't in this year's Rewind, I guess. I haven't watched one of his videos since like 2015, so I don't really know what he's up to, thought we was very "family friendly" now, but with what you've said it doesn't seem to have kept that up. If you don't care, could you tell me who Ben Shapiro and Stephan Molenyx are? (Sorry if they're a big deal in America, but I'm Argentine, haven't heard about them)
@shauni19876 жыл бұрын
Nicolás Torchia Ben is most popular conservative. He is homophobic and very very transphobic. Stefan on the other hand is white etnostate purist/nationalist. Don’t get me wrong, pewdiepie is none of those things, but he is very irresponsible with his power as most popular KZbinr, and he keeps fucking up and refuses to take any responsibility.
@torchianicolas6 жыл бұрын
Maksim Makso shit. Yeah, I get it. As the most subscribed user in the platform he has a huge responsibility of making sure he's not promoting those people and ideas. I hoped he'd changed after the backlash he received for that insult during a stream, and was more cautious. Apparently he didn't learn very much from his mistakes, how sad.
