Man, it's hard to listen to them giving JJ Abrams so much credit when, as far as I'm concerned, he deserves the lion's share of the blame for how the trilogy turned out (ignoring the executives of course). Even if you think it's actually Rian Johnson's fault and don't like the decisions he made, he wouldn't have had to make a lot of those decisions if it weren't for Abrams "mystery box" obsession. Where he sets up questions but never bothers to come up with an answer for them because he thinks the mystery is better than any eventual answer. And sure, it's better for keeping people hooked on a series, but it's not better for making a story that concludes and is well remembered.
