I stayed and enjoyed their “military/solo era” music and promotions. There was and still is so much content that it has been hard to keep up. (But I’m not complaining!) Each member has had his own way to work out their personal artistry through music. It’s been an incredible ride. I can’t help but to admire their work ethic. This!! The only 'fandom cleanse' we need is from toxic fans who engage in fanwars and make the experience miserable for everyone else. And akgaes of course. Aside from that it doesn't matter whether you're a casual fan or hardcore, whether you've been here 10 years or 6 months. The point is for us all to enjoy the music, appreciate the members as people, and help them overcome the barriers in their way so that more people can discover them and get the same joy we do. People who make every little thing into a competition and are constantly aggressive and negative are actually what drives people away from the fandom. This is supposed to be fun! BTS have said over and over again that the reason they do what they do is to help people feel motivated, uplifted, connected etc. and help people who are going through a hard time... not because they just want people to be obsessed with them.

I focus on Patreon instead until I can handle another copyright strike and until it feels fun to do KZbin again. Good on you for taking a break! But honestly, don't even worry about these other channels - as an ARMY I never watched those anyway they always felt fake and put together by AI or a machine. I became an ARMY partly because of watching so many of your videos and I really missed them during this era. It feels like our fandom has fallen apart because so many big accounts have gone on hiatus. So I'm glad you're back. Man, I just love the old style of your videos, especially the ones recapping special moments and new content. Hey there! I just want to thank you for taking the courage to talk about this. For me, during these hiatus years was terrible. unfortunately, i went through college and it just went downhill from there. College sucked all of my energy out and i had multiple other things that were going in these two years. Now im kind of exhausted and have taken a gap year for uni next year. During this time, it was quite hard for me to keep up with BTS (not because of army) just because of how stressed and lack of time i had. It felt like i was told to run constantly but i didn’t know where i was going. I was kind of dumbfounded that i couldn’t continue being an ‘army’, despite me being one for 2 1/2years (started in 2019 December). Maybe i was just burnout or something during those years. However i do agree with what you were saying about army. There have been more fans coming in the hiatus years, and they aren’t that nice. I feel like there have been more younger fans entering like 10 to 12years (gen alpha), I spectate that they are the ones who are clueless hopefully. But i feel like this is kind of bound to happen since we are seeing BTS as soloists rather than a group and its harder to maintain a fandom without a group being together, which i’ve seen in other kpop groups not just BTS. I also do want to say that, i relate to the editing part of your ted talk (lol) where you were mentioning the time taken to create an edit. I recently started an account this year on music, and im having to post daily due to what my accounts purpose which obviously takes alot of time to create. it has gained more than 10k followers which i was surprised to see since I’ve never had that many before 😂 there is this pressure of competing with others, which i dislike and prefer posting for the sole purpose of more people hearing the music they havent heard before, not the numbers on my account. I would think in the way that even if one person likes this song, then i have fulfilled my time 😂❤ Anyway, i do recommend if you do comeback to plan some breaks more often than you expect!

Since their hiatus, I just been focusing on their personal projects and listening to their old music and content. Oh, I really like this idea. I love funny/chaos edits too, but there's a lack of videos that show BTS as thoughtful, intelligent people and artists. They've had some really interesting interviews at this point where they talk about things in depth, but I feel like a lot of people miss out on that.

this was so comforting to watch, tysm. i've fallen off of bts these hiatus months too. i used to think like im gonna go thorugh all the old stuff while they're away and then i got important exams because of which i was just off like social media for a good while and then i just never got into bts like i was earlier. and like everyday i've regretted that ive wanted to come back but the guilt kept me form it...? and the more time i spent away, the more the guilt grew and the more i couldnt come and yeah that cycle just continued and has been tbh. even now i have exams constantly and dont know how im gonna go through all the stuff i've missed but atleast im not gonna miss new stuff now. thanks and sorry to anyone who read this TT

don't pressure yourself to keep up with bts and the like! what you're going through is completely valid, whether it be for a reason like exams or personal choice for ur own health. keeping up with their activities should just be something you enjoy, not a competition ^^ try not to listen to the people that shame u for not being super up to date - focus on ur life and im sure they'll slowly come back to you

What I do is watch reaction videos react to their vids from time to time to keep the cycle going and it helps for me but don't feel guilty about it 💗🧸

I felt like I wasn’t an army because I didn’t update myself very often during the hiatus and the solo projects but you helped me to know that stepping back doesn’t make you less an army. You’re amazing and taking a break is important. Thank you for your hard work ❤ 💜.

So glad you’re back! I wanna watch whatever type of videos you want to put out, but a suggestion that came to mind (if you’re interested) is just a really light hearted comparison video of the member’s solo activities. The Jimmy Fallon interviews alone with SUGA, Jimin, and JK are completely different vibes, and showcase so much of their personalities which I love. I also feel like during press tours they were all asked like the same four questions (or maybe that’s just me idk). I’ve been watching a mix of old and new content to help get me through the hiatus times. Definitely didn’t take a break from KPOP, I actually got into more groups! It’s been nice to seek comfort whenever there were moments where listening to BTS would make me kinda sad and miss them more. Maybe also a short highlight video of everything ARMY accomplished in support of SUGA during this whole scooter investigation? I know it was a conflicting time for a lot of fans, but it really showed how unshakable we are when it comes to supporting the members when they need us most. It’s hilarious to me how some people thought there was ever a chance Yoongi would be kicked out/willingly leave the group. Bonkers. Totally agree that life happens, and taking a break and stepping away doesn’t mean you love something any less. Hope you find the balance you’re looking for now that you’ve decided to return! 😘 Borahae 💜

Hey good for you. Even JK says ‘you’re the main character in your own life’. You need to show up for yourself. I still watch or listen to BTS every day but it’s on my terms. I know what’s happening in general but I try to focus on my life & work hard at what I want & need, to have a good life. BTS would be proud of you…but more importantly you can be proud of you. Miss you so much that I was so damn early, like 22 seconds early. I spend these hiatus by letting myself absorb their content and new music slowly, still listen to the whole album, but months later😅. I really want you to make content about Yoongi like appreciation for him. So glad to know that I'm not the only one who have been in hiatus from BTS and the fandom. Been an Army since 2018. Time flies. I was a crazy army back then. Always updated. Rarely missed out their contents, shows. They had so much effect on me. They became a part of my life. And still are. They were one of the most important chapters that changed my life. They were my happiness and consolation on a bad day. They were my hope and inspiration to keep on going. My virtual best friends. But gradually especially after their hiatus I kinda missed out their activities. Started to get disconnected. They were changing and got more mature. Ofc this got to happen one-day. People change and we've to accept it. Then I got more busier in my personal life. When i told some of my army friends about it they made me sort of feel guilty and like what kind of army i was. However, now, I here and there take updates on them, sometimes watch their solo projects and try to support them as much as possible. Not like before but I try. I love them and I'm always grateful to them 💜. Purple u all.

I am just going to say this but I can remember this from the back of my hand. I was really depressed back in the summer of 2021. One of the biggest reasons I got into BTS is because of your videos and it made me laugh so much that I was like who are these people?? I searched them up and I never looked back. It also one of the reasons I got into Kpop because I didn't even know what Kpop was like if someone ask Hey Are you into Kpop? I would be like what is that? I am generally forever grateful to you because if it wasn't for you I don't know where I would be now. I am crying while writing this so just know I am so happy you are backkk cause that help me so much. I was so sad that SugArmyy was gone but I understand how life can get so busy that you forget everything. Welcome Backk!!! 💜💜

What you deliver in your videos is heart. Sure you don't have all the money and time to edit like other big company channels. But your love shines through. Your videos helped me move through the Baby ARMY stage and I still rewatch them.
