Matt you did an amazing job, this video is such an instant classic man. I can feel the love and effort you put into this and I truly wish this takes off eventually. I want you to know even if this video didn't perform as well as you expected you're a million views in my heart. My personal favorite parts were: 6:18 "Animu Matt" 8:45 "Inner voice" 12:15 "RIP S rank" 17:51 "Guides not guiding very well" 33:25 "Chai would be proud" 35:20 "The onetap of 30 minutes gone" 37:51 "Zanzo impersonation" 38:16 "LEGENDARY MATT RAGE MOMENT (MY FAVORITE)" 51:33 "So was it worth it?"

Great video. Finally got around to watching, and you didn't disappoint. This game doesn't look like one that I would personally enjoy, but I can tell you did, and the love for it shines through anytime you talk about it. I can definitely appreciate the game for what it does. It definitely looks unique and one of a kind

1:42 Personal opinion here! I actually really like when games want you to S Rank every difficulty (as long as ofc the hardest difficulty feels achievable). The way I see it, the devs want to see how well you can style whether the enemies die slow or die fast, and also want you to start S Ranking at a lower difficulty so you can practice there first and rise up as you get better. As someone who loves playing games, this also extends the replay period of the game which lets me familiarize myself with the system. This is how I've felt ever since I first decided to sit down and 100% DMC5. DMC5 is one of my favorite games, but the majority of my enjoyment honestly came from me learning to master it from top to bottom, from Human to DMD. And ditto, Hi Fi Rush. I'm not in a, heh, rush to stop playing. I want to take my sweet time with the games I love. Edit: I also feel like new players might be disheartened if they're only rewarded for S Ranking the hardest difficulty. If you reward them for an Easy S Rank with an achievement, that's good! That encourages them to try Normal... and then Hard... and before you know it... they're a Rhythm Master. I'm gonna be honest. A lot of games I 100%'d, *including* Hi Fi Rush, I didn't think I would at first. It was getting other S Rank achievements that encouraged me to keep going up. I can already tell a counterargument of "your S Rank achievement on the hardest can retroactively be handed out to the ones below"... but... no. That would feel so unearned in my opinion. I want the S Rank achievements to be obtained because I played at that level and proved it directly. It feels more real that way. If I did not do an Easy S Rank run... I just didn't. I skipped it. And it remains skipped until I do it for real.

Despite feeling the way I do on the subject you did a good job making me think about it in a different way. See for me if it's a trophy I don't need the encouragement to build confidence and attempt the higher difficulty. If it's a trophy then I'm attempting it either way so there is no "building confidence" phase for me, it's just an inevitability. It's easy for me to forget that some people really value that confidence boost to eventually attempt these kinds of things especially if they're intimidated. I'll try to remember this in the future, well done vocalizing your thoughts in a civilized way 👏

Fun fact with rhythm master, you gain a little style from timing your dashes around, so it's a way to keep bolstering your meter when there's not as many enemies. Also never underestimate peppermint for her gun doing an easy lot of combos. There's all sorts of little tricks to help ^^

Found your channel recently and really like the way you are narrating your trophy hunting! Haven't played Hi-Fi Rush myself, but definitely plan on doing so as soon as I can. What made me interested in the game personally is exactly that Rhythm Master difficulty, because it reminds me of an extremely difficult PS4 game called "Crypt of the Necrodancer" where rhythm and moving to the beat of the game is everything. Game is a bit old, but if you ever feel up for the challenge check it out!

Picked this game in early December 2023 cause I needed to treat myself after going through a mentally exhausting period in my life and this was a breath of fresh air. I never intended to go for 100% but ended up doing it because I loved it so much I wanted to keep playing it. Funnily it got easier for me the closer I got to 100% like it was inevitable lol
