Hi, I'm Maggie and I have Crohn's disease. I am thrilled to be here sharing my personal experiences with Inflammatory Bowel Disease as well as living with an ostomy. I'm proud to share a little bit from a clinical experience as well, having worked as a GI pediatric nurse and ostomy telehealth nurse. I am so glad you are here. ♥ #ostomy #ibd #chronicillness

Oh boy, do I understand. Blood work is decent, but I feel like crap! Showering is about all I can manage these days. LOVE your new wall color! So soothing and relaxing. Why can’t ostomy company’s send the same products every 6 wks or so without being notified? I’ve had my ostomy for over 30 years, so it’s not changing sizes or anything. I’ll make that call tomorrow! Take care, sweet Maggie. We’re all in this together. ❤

Maggie I just love your new paint , we just painted a spare room a very similar color , so soothing and makes us feel we are bring colors of nature inside. Sweet nanners I hope she is better by now .. maybe she dislocated a shoulder? That happened once to our pup . Just thank God for your good days Maggie and don’t beat yourself up for the bad days . We love you and your beautiful smile and you bring us happiness with your vlogs. Can’t wait to see your flowers after you plant them . Start every day with a grateful prayer no matter how you feel . ❤

Love the colours. Warm and earthy. After I find a burst, I'm done for a few days overdoing it. Hope you consider a mask when pollen is high. Reports claim it's the worst.. Ugh..medication ordeals. Sweet Nanners.. We use a shot that works for three weeks. Ours gets a fungus from ground ..we het mildew from drainage problems. The Dr gave me a medicated wash we leave on for 10 minutes. Hope she gets better❤

I can relate to you Maggie with everything in this video. Definitely the energy!! I am fighting a UTI right now and I’m dragging. Just got over Covid which kind of added to the exhaustion. On days I feel better I try to do everything as you do. I so relate to the Nanner’s not feeling well also. It’s heartbreaking to see our pups in discomfort and trying to figure out what’s wrong and how we can comfort them. My mini Schnauzer will be 13 in July and was recently diagnosed with heart disease. Doing well on medication thankfully. She does have days when she appears to be not feeling well and I feel so sad. I totally get it!! Your dining room looks great!! I love the color!! Such a big undertaking . You did a great job 👍 Praying you stay well and you can get to the bottom of your fur baby’s discomfort. 🙏🙏❤️❤️

I had a rough week myself after my 2nd chemo treatment with the side effects. And then I found a loose stitch when changing my ostomy bag and kind of freaked out (I'm only 5 weeks out from ileostomy surgery) so made an appt to get that checked. Hugs to you! 💞🙏

Ohhhh sweet Maggie ❤ I have been involved in my own pity party since St Patrick’s day 2023 😥😓 SICK, sick, sick. My mother had gut issues her entire life. Colon cancer happened when mother was about 65ish? I am 64 years young…. 65 will happen 9/17/23 😰 my GI and his NP are trying to figure out what is wrong with me. I have had blood work, X-rays, CT scan, and stool sample tests. Sorry everyone 😔 TMI 😂 EVERYTHING comes back GOOD! I am thankful for that 😊 ❤️ Now they want me to have an ACHT Simulation test and a CT Scan of my head…. I am sooooo tired of being sick 😷 I just need for someone to wave a magic wand over me and I will feel 100 💯 again!!! I feel for you with all that you have going on ❤ I hope you will be feeling much better soon 😘🙌🏻

Glad you are feeling better. Animals, by instinct, hide their illnesses so do not feel guilty. I agree with holding off the X-Ray for a bit. If she is moving (at least as much as a usual potato), without hesitation or vocalizing, then waiting seems safe. I can empathize with you on several of your challenges. Having lived with UC/Crohn’s for 20+ years, it is nice to know that I’m not the only one that goes through motivation challenges. Even without some of the challenges you have been facing recently, I have had zero motivation the past 6-8 weeks, slowly staring to work out of that. I have also faced similar challenges getting medication, I’m on Stelara now (formerly on Humira) and seen to have insurance issues in getting my medicine. If you only spent 30 min on the phone, consider yourself lucky 😊. We also had one dog get seriously ill in January. She wasn’t eating and when we took her to the vet she had a mass on her spleen. They did surgery to remove it and it came back as cancerous. She is doing well now, but going though that just adds stress that is not needed. Keep up the positive attitude and thanks for sharing your journey.

Hi Maggie The paint looks AWSOME, I get you I was full of energy, also a nurse ( OR) worked, tan, did trauma, multitasks etc… All of the sudden I was diagnosed with severe RA, bed ridden very little energy, I try to mentalize myself to get up and do things., but my body doesn’t respond. I turn around and go back to bed. It’s also very difficult to deal with family that are non medical knowledge. Since it’s nothing really visible they get frustrated because they say I don’t try . Sorry to vent!! Your videos are very inspirational for my mental status ❤

Sounds a lot like when my dog got a slipped disc in her neck. Both me and my friends dog got it without any specific incident. It can just happen whenever. Sadly. And they don’t do surgery in the neck to my understanding. So a MR and such would not be “helping”. Just hang in there! Strict bed rest is the answer.

You have been sick, it is totally understandable that humira was not on your radar. A simple solution is calling your GI to see if they can give you one dose just because you have to take it on schedule. My rheumatologist does this for me with my idiopathic arthritis secondary to ulcerative colitis and sometimes it's just not your fault it is a fault of the company.

Why is it a bad day, how many days in a row can I take it and am I ever going to get any better!!!! Sorry but every time I watch your videos I get frustrated because I bet that this, whatever this may be, is not that uncommon. However I don’t know of anyone else who has the same amount of nausea or sick days with the constant bladder pain 🤔😵‍💫 forget the sinus problems 🤧I’m hoping for some better days to come for you. Glad you're feeling better and have energy to do some of the things you want to do. For Nanners... is CBD oil available where you are? It's a miracle, that stuff. I had severe headaches due to a cold a few weeks ago. I took 4 drops and *poof*, within minutes my headache was gone! It might do Nanners some good to if her pain is causing so much trouble, It's safe for pets to take if you don't over do it on the dosage.

It almost sounds like arthritis forming in Nannas neck. If the meds don't work that well, have the vet give you an oral sedative. You'll give it to her roughly an hour before x-rays. It won't knock her out, just make her sleepy and not care as much. For youtube, what you're describing is an editor instead of a manager. Way easier to find! Good luck with everything, and I'll keep your fur baby in prayer.

Have you looked into migraine? I thought I had sinus infections, but finally a neurologist said they were migraines and with migraine meds. I’m feeling a lot better.

So your dog put Andy or Hittman on her seat or ever she licks until it’s dried out and then him if it’s on a seat, put socks over it and put some tape for a rubber band around the leg that’ll help with the licking on the legs I had to do that for my golden retriever yellow Ladson

Maggie I watched one of your videos where you said you were going back to school to get your WOC certification. Was that ever completed or what’s an update on your progress.

Maggie…I may have missed this somewhere along the way, but what ever happened to your barn renovation into a wedding venue?

We don't talk about it much but a few locals have been a nightmare and our township has made it difficult. We are still trying to open, it is just so much slower than any of us (Zak, I, lawyers) ever expected!

@@LetsTalkIBD Gotcha. Neighbors can be a blessing or a curse. I wish you the best, moving forward. I, for one, thought it is an amazing project and I hope you can see it to fruition.
