My all time favorite band, I’m pretty sure. I’m not trying to call them the best band of all time. I’ve just never related more to any music I’ve ever heard and I’m 46 years old. This is the band that I was desperately searching for back in the late 90s. Alternating between Erykah Badu and Jamiroquai was about the best I could do back then. I didn’t get to hear it until 2015.
@mogglie11 ай бұрын
Badu and Jamiro is my foundation too. And dangelo. Then I went deep to soul and funk and disco. And. Here we are. Together In hiatus land. It’s been a winding road. Glad we could meet.

I'm a very old guy from a very distant country, and Ray Charles, Beatles and Hendrix reigned on stage at that time. Since Frank Zappa's death, I haven't heard anything so avant-garde, disruptive, bold and creative. I love your complex harmonies. I keep imagining you, playing on the same stage, with Zappa and Vernon Reid, from Living Colors. It would be a total lysergic orgasm. I love your music.
@alexvanbergeijk609 Жыл бұрын
Highlights for me: -Rose Water (Way more aggressive than the studio version) -The absolutely *bangin'* de-constructed arrangement of Nakamarra -Get Sun (This is where they get warmed-up & start to really lay it up in the cut) -Perrin's drumming on Swamp Thing and Cinnamon Temple

You can see here why this man can build worlds with just his fingertips. Along with Snarky Puppy's Bill Laurence "The Curtain" piano solo, his solo at the Evelyn concert is still one of my favourite solos of all time. Like Nai said, Simon got magical. Meanwhile, some hysteric people think their shrieks and squeals add anything relevant to the overall experience. Some people should just stay at home. Let a man cook undisturbed next time...
