I've seen so many people try to duplicate this dressing but the texture and ingredients just seemed off. This is it!! Thank you so much for sharing, I'm excited to start eating salads again haha.

Thanks for this recipe! My wife and I made it the other night and it’s awesome! We always liked the dressing that comes on the salad at the teppanyaki restaurants. This recipe is spot on! Thanks 😎

Hey Paul! Love your channel! I watched every video. I just made this salad dressing today and taste exactly like my local Osaka. I’m gonna make the ginger sauce and the garlic butter next weekend. I have a Blackstone also. Blackstone need to get you on their payroll! Keep the videos coming!

Thanks alot for sharing your recipes. I moved from US to eastern Europe, there is no Japanese hibachi or good sushi. At least I can make it now!

Not a problem. Hopefully you can find the Ingredients. Plenty of sushi video and hibachi coming!

my hero, cant wait to try. what about using seasoned rice vinegar?
@thebackyardhibachi Жыл бұрын
You can use that. Rice vinegar is a little less concentrated that regular vinegar.

Thank you for this. Do you know how to make the soy-based dressing served at places like Miyabi Steakhouse? I think some other places call it a house dressing.
@thebackyardhibachi7 ай бұрын
Yes, that one popular as well. Look out for that recipe!

Interesting, most of the recipes I have seen call for sesame oil as well as most of the same ingredients.
@thebackyardhibachi Жыл бұрын
There is a sweet sesame dressing that some restaurants use. No ginger in that one though.

Not bad, a little too mayoee. I tried another KZbin recipe that has a ketchup base. It was not so good. Instead of throwing both away, I combined them. The result is dayum near delicious!!! Thanks!

How are you cutting the ginger to get that third of a cup? It’s kind of hard to get those amounts right (ginger, onion, carrot, celery) without weights….

I noticed you specified Kikkoman soy sauce. Does the brand matter?
@thebackyardhibachi2 жыл бұрын
Yes, there are many variations of soy sauce in brand and flavors. To be able to replicate the ginger dressing at the restaurant, we need to use the exact brand. I’ve worked in 30 plus Japanese steakhouses in the US, all have used Kikkoman brand.
