Hibernate defeats the purpose it was created for. Now, instead of relying on custom queries that can be tested directly by running it against a test db, we have to get the jpa method names right to get the correct result.

Hibernate came before JPA. Then, JPA is supposed to be the implementation of Hibernate. But in this short, you said Hibernate is implementation of JPA ? Are you sure about it?
