The rationale for including accomplices in the same murder charge was explained in one video as "if the murder was committed partly because you (and perhaps a few others) enabled it to happen, then you too, committed the murder". Put in the opposite way; "If you had NOT assisted in the way in which you assisted the murder, the murder would NOT have happened. Therefore, your assistance was a key component for the murder occurring, therefore you are equally responsible"
@JDAbelRN3 жыл бұрын
I agree, thanks for sharing what you learned in another video to help explain this law of equal punishment. I know many people have sympathy for the young girl to spend the rest of her life in prison, but justice was served. If she had not lured Griffin into his death by the promises of Marijuana and or sex, Griffin MIGHT NOT have suffered his ultimate fate. To me, perhaps her role in the murder is particularly evident.

Have to disagree on the felony murder. I agree it is overused, but this girl knowingly set him up for an aggravated assault at the very least. @haleyw56772 жыл бұрын

I personally think the charge of felony murder is reasonable. If you conspire to rob someone, where the victim is detained. Chances are insanely high that the victim ends up getting killed. If the victim ends up surviving the incident, they will end up developing PTSD, as their lives get complicated in relation to their loss of capacity to function as they did before the crime.

Hi Doctor Grande can you do an analysis of Jack The Ripper?
@rosemarymills16713 жыл бұрын
Good God, how do you keep from cracking up? You look dead serious, but you tastefully can shed a little humor on serious matters. Must be a talent you have, huh! Now to listen to the rest.

Also I think it would be very interesting to do an analysis on Melanie Eam. She murdered my friends brother in Palm Beach Florida it was a pretty big case . James Barry was stabbed to death I would love for you to look into that too it’s very important for people to have justice closure and order. You’re a psychological analysis would be greatly valued if you could go over that case

I think laws like this are also meant to deter people from committing "less serious" crimes like robberies because of how they can turn into murder. So people should just not rob people period.

I learn something new with your videos everyday. You explain concepts in a very clear manner and every single one of your videos lead me to a deep thought afterwards. I have to agree that the Felony Murder Rule does not seem reasonable, I wish it could be revised. To me, that was an unfair sentence.😕 Very thoughtful, well researched, fair and interesting analysis, thank you! ❤️

Had the victim not lived in a backwards state like Florida, he could have gone into a dispensary and bought weed. But because of archaic marijuana prohibition laws, he was forced to deal with these three criminals. He lost his life because he wanted to buy $50 worth of weed. Smh.

At first, I was with the people thinking her sentence might have been a little too harsh... but then I saw that big hideous neck tattoo she picked up in prison and I've changed my mind. Seems she'll be just fine in there.

@@eastbayej Three guys with the munchies and only one brownie? Honestly, a film featuring three mellow stoned people "fighting" over a brownie could be hilarious. Slow-mo punches and all... Wouldn't happen though.
