And? They are the only ones who are morally allowed to do so. Just like the family of the murdered young man are the only ones who are morally allowed to demand the highest punishment, even if it is death. That is natural. But everyone else must NOT be unreasonable and must abide by the rules. In return, the families must accept the verdict. That is the deal. Leave both families alone. Neither of them is on trial themselves. So how dare you judge one family because they are supposedly not behaving "appropriately" according to your thinking? They know this girl since she was an innocent baby...they saw all her pains and joys. Of course they stand by her.
@hiho8084Ай бұрын
@@Jezzebel1313 Wow! Do you HEAR yourself?? I have every right to judge actions. It's how this planet works, [this should be obvious, but maybe you grew up in isolation]. Because I used reason, [judgment], I know that her family is making excuses for her bad behavior. And THEY in turn, are judging her friends. By your standard, only the family of her friends have that right. Her family claims that her friends are the reason she did what she did. That's judgment. So you have, by your comment, determined them wrong as well. I at no time, said that they were bad people, or that they didn't have the right to express their judgment. I simply told the truth; that they denied her accountability, blaming it on her friends, instead of realizing that she is culpable. NO ONE forced her to do what she did. FACT. I spent a bit less than a year in Darfur, Sudan - refugee camp. There was a boy, 11 years old, selling water from the barrel mounted on a donkey cart. He had been accompanied all the time with 4-5 of his younger brothers and sisters. Bread winner for the family, 11 years old, responsible for his younger siblings too. Our "civilization" destroyed parenthood, morals, family, friendship. We are puzzled as society. My kids are 19, 21, 25, 26 and they are in many ways junior to that Darfur kid, 11 years old. This girl was not mature enough to make sound judgement, and I believe she didn't think of possible consequences. RIP to the young man who died.

So in prison they let the prisoners get tattoos also? Why is that in this country, jail has become a place of luxury and comfort. There is nothing inherently punishing about being in jail. You get 3 hot meals a day, friends and family visits, a bed to sleep on, access to tvs, computers, phones etc. Some can even be sent money to buy whatever. How is this punishment? No wonder people arent afraid of jail, and because of that they commit heinous crimes

@imrubber.youareglueАй бұрын
I do agree with you that liars use that statement to manipulate people into believing them but it is a bit more nuanced than 99% of the time they're lying. Some people say that because they know they're not gonna be believed so they use that qualifying statement to convince them of the truth of their statement. It can be used like a preemptive to damage control their claim knowing they won't be believed. Like, doubling down hoping they believe you when you have a feeling they probably won't. You have to ask yourself why someone felt the need to say qualify their statement in order to know if they're lying or not. "I'm not even gonna lie", well, are they saying that because they really are liars or because the claim they're making is legitimately hard to believe but actually true.
